rule/policy changes
I know that rules can be changed if breed associations push / vote on changes.
Can UKC change a rule just because they think it makes sense?
If UKC thinks it would be good to allow tracking/shocking during a hunt can they implement it? Or do they need the support of breed associations?

U know....... common sense is so uncommon.
They can just do it.

They already said right here on this board that such a change would be handled as a policy change, not a rule change meaning if they decide to allow Garmin use, they will not go through the breed associations or the standard rules change process.

Enlighten me JiM.Whr u read that @.
George, awhile back there was a long thread on here discussing the fact that UKC had allowed the Garmins to be used at a major hunt in Oklahoma on a test basis. During the course of that discussion I ask Allen straight out if any such rule change would have to go through the standard process that takes place with the Associations during Autumn Oak or would they just go ahead and make the change themselves and he responded on that thread that if the change was made, it would be as a policy change instead of a rule change and the Associations would not be involved. I tried to find that thread to bring it back up for you but I can't find it.
