Astro 220 vs Garmin gps 12s readings

Why do I get two different readings when they are placed side by side. both are Garmin products? 29d north and 7d west in the reading. Which is correct? The 12s is about 10 years old the A220 one year old.

Them old ones have pointed me in the wrong direction lots. First one I had you had to be moving for it to be anywhere near right. Lots of good that did in the middle of nowhere in thinned pines and cant see the sky or pick up sat service..

Yeah,I know a guy had a new one about 10 years ago.Went hunting in Colorado.On his way back to truck standing on a mountain side he could see the reflection of the truck a bout a mile away .The Garmin was pointing about 45 *to the right of the truck.Image following it if he had not seen his truck?

I had an old one given to me and I'm not sure how people could afford to use them. Brand new set of Duracell batteries would last about 2 to 3 hours tops and it would take 20 minutes of that to pick up GPS reception.
