I get about .7 of a mile with standard antenna on handheld. With the long range that comes with it, about a mile and some change im in flat cornfield country. Think im gonna upgrade my collar antenna. If anyone has suggetions let me know.... Hope this helps ya bud.

Yes thanks. Do you have a truck antenna and how far does that reach?

garmin

I only have the two that come in the bundle. The one on it and it also comes with a 13" that gets better range. I am looking to get a truck mount b4 long. Its not the max range im gettin with either its just i lose com with the shorter one starting at about 800 yds but does pick them back up.

Down at the Sand Hills its real flat and big standing pines with a few hollows. I've tracked the truck 5 miles several times with no trouble.. We leave a collar in the truck so we can track it while Harold drives around to pick us up.
