Well I see you come from Ga. so your dog could have come from hog dog stock. I am not a BMC fan but that are big cattle dogs in Texas and many people use them on hogs where you are. Bottom line is they make nice treedogs also.

I would treat it like any other cur treedog and my guess is you will find out fairly soon what it will do for you. Not trying to get in your business, but guessing from your post that you may have not messed with a bunch of curs. A little heads up on them, they aren't like hounds and you can't treat them as such. You don't have to get rough with them to get your point over to them, just go easy with them and give them a pat when they do good and fuss at em when they do wrong and they will be your buddy for life. You go to whippin on 'em and most of 'em will hate you and you will never get much out of 'em.

Good luck with your dog.

Dear Wayne:
Reguardless of the particular breeding of your BMC. Most BMC's
are bred for intellagence--confromation--and do-ability. Meaning they can do anything you are smart enough to train them for.
Most folks once they own 1 good BMC, they will never be without
one.
Enjoy you new BMC and have some fun with it.
Bro. Kevin

My e-mail address is krknierim@yahoo.com If you'll
send me your e-mail adddres, I'll send you a link to the BMC board. I can't get it to pull up either. However it goes right through with the link.

I laid a drag with a coon yesterday about 250 yards she ran and treed it. This pup is 6 months old i cant believe it. Are BMC this easy to train or have i got something special? I think i've been missing out.
