last year we did a beagle ans it was 125 dollars and she had 9 puppies

if you are talking fresh chilled semen it's pretty reasonable. with alittle instruction you can collect a male or inseminate a female yourself. if you are you using frozen semen then it's a surgical implant and the costs rise quickly. if it's fresh chilled most collection facilities add extenders to give the sperm a longer life but they recomend use within 24 hours.

jim, on your use of frozen did they do progesterone tests? curious as to whether or not different places have the same method.

Dean always test till he gets the right time to do the insemniation. The last time I had one bred, he tested 3 times. He has bred my bitch twice and never charged for any tests either time but had to test her three times for both breedings. $200.00. Thats it.
