Is it new? Have you used it before? Are you sure it is charged? How old is it? Have you tryed disconecting it from the battery?

almost 2 years old, yes,it should be charged i only used it for about 2 hours off of a full charge, year and a half old(i think it's in that ballpark),yes i have disconnected it,blew on the connections,i've went thru all of this stuff.the blue light comes on when you plug in the charger and when you turn the power on the red led lights up continuously, when you unplug the charger the light goes off, darned thing anyhow

So you took it apart and disconected the battery wires from the unit and let it set disconected for 20 minutes or so?

yes sir,was curious if a junk battery pack could b a problem?,i took off the attenna and cleaned up where the antenna screws in with a little wire brush,if i need to send it off i guess i'll have no other alternative, but dang for 600 bucks that turd should not have much wrong with it,thanks for the help.

If takeing the battery loose from the collar for 15 minutes and then hooking it back up doesn't work I don't know. You might call Garmin before you send it in though.
