Logger

There seems to be alot of people out there that don't like Loggerhead, but i will put him up against any dog. He is not the best, but he is a dang good dog.

Doesnt matter if you like him or not. If you can't beat him in the hunts don't judge him. He wins his fair share of hunts.

Logger

I don't know. I guess because they don't like to loose sometimes. He's not a Walker could be part of it. He's not colored right. I don't care I look at plenty of coons with him. He's is no where perfect, misses coons from time to time. I sure do like the dog, too bad it was the only time you got to make the cross.

Matt

You been hunting much. It is HOT here, havent't been in a few days. I am working nights for a couple of weeks. I don't mind till it cools off any way. We have been working some young dogs, I think the heat will ruin a young dog if hunted too hard. The pups are growing and eating real well. They look good. The ones cololred like Logger sure are outgrowing the rest. How about you, been hunting.

no, I havent been huntin any lately...been hot/humid as heck, or rainin and everything flooded. Wettest year we have had in a while. Cause I hunt the riverbottoms mostly, you dont turn a dog you care about loose when its flooded. All the dogs I have are snowman (hope he remembers how to tree a coon this fall) and a young grandpup to him that may or not make it. He has shown me EVERYTHING I like in a dog but he has not shown me the tree mindedness I like. May mature late or not at all. Other than those two, I have these young puppies. Plannin on hittin it hot and heavy this fall and winter, try to get the coon stirred back up in my veins. THere have been quite a few people that commented they would breed to snowman in a heartbeat but for his color. I just think to myself, thats the same thing they said about bullet, lol...their loss, that was a dang good litter....

After Gary had titled loggerhead and sold him, he contacted me wanting another out of that litter. He told me that Logger was the nicest young dog he had had on the place. There was a female down in SE Oklahoma that I was told by a friend of mine could dual grand easily, but she got sold to a pleasure hunter in tennessee I think it was....he told me she was the closest thing to a perfect dog he could want. There was another dog in se oklahoma that the fellow wouldnt sell, was treein his own at 6 months old stay hooked forever....I hunted with him, showed us 2 coon in 11 minutes...it was a shame I couldnt make the cross again....
