question about snakes

Live in TEXAS on sandy land....problem with copper heads

Is there anything you can put out as snake deterrent to keep them from comming into your yard or kennel?

Moth balls ! what an originla , Roosevelt idea.

What it means is copper head= pilot.
grab either end and crack it like a bullwhip.
\But it takes more than
a nutless wonder to do that type of Macho thing. Heck I ain't bragging 'bout the maho thing, but I anna be sca no moth"s balls.

FIND A BEE SPRAY WITH A PETROLEUM BASE, IT BURNS THEM AND THEY DO NOT LIKE IT. GET ONE YOU CAN SPRAY FROM A DISTANCE. ALSO WE HAD A FEW TRY AND GET IN OUR SHED AT OUR CLUB, WE POURED OLD MOTOR OIL AROUND THE SHED SEVERAL DIFFERENT TIMES THEY LEFT. GOOD LUCK.

Though I have snapped a few heads off non-poisonous ones, I dont have the reflexes for it any more.

Tractor supply makes a snake powder that works quite well. I use it around my birds to keep the egg eaters away. Would take quite a lot to do a yard though. My motto is "Killem All".
