DC-30- dead battery?

I have a DC-30 collar that is less than a year old. The other night when I tried to turn it on, it did nothing. I assumed that I left it on and the battery was fully discharged. I put it on the charger. After being on the charger for 30 hours the blue light was still lit, but had a little flicker to it. Disconnected from the charger it will not turn on. COnnected to the charger it will turn on. Did my battery fail? Or is it a short inside? ANyone else deal with this? Will a Garmin repair person be at Walker Days?
Thanks for any help.

If you have another DC30 collar, swap batteries to see if the battery is what is bad.....That way you can determine if it is a bad battery or not......If it's bad, you can buy a new battery.

Does opening the collar void any warranty? Maniac- the connection between the charger and collar are good- the light does come on.

I can't see why since they sell the replacement batteries to replace the batteries when they go bad.

Take the plate off of the collar. Disconnect the antenna and then take the 2 little screws out that cover the battery. Disconnect the battery (white wire) and let it sit for 30 seconds. Reconnect and reinstall everything. It SHOULD work fine for you...

So I disconnected the power internally, gave it a full minute [and more] and rehooked it. Didn't help. Cleaned it very well- alcohol on the points, recharged it for 8 hours. Didn't help. Sent Garmin an email late last night and have gotten no response yet, though I have heard once they contact me they are good about customer service.
Any other advice?
Thanks again for all input so far.

alcohol is not going to help it. take brass brush or a knife and clean the connection
