I hear ya. I have a good friend i hunt with that has some nice hunting still,But if i don't hunt with him i have to head 45 mins away and hunt game lands and state parks.I've lost over 2000 acres in the last 4 years with in 10 miles of my house. Between the traffic and such i feel like my days of coon hunting are dwindling down. The other problem i'm having is these last couple of walker pups i've had do everything a 100 mph and burn up some woods quick so before i fade out i might look to a closer hunting dog as well..

SO SORRY

Hate to hear this... The land where Bob and I hunted in the 70s has been Long Gone and filled with homes for years now..... We have little open space left in our area of MA and have to go coonhunting at the mercy of GOOD friends when we get a chance. We dont even have much chance to house hunting dawgs here... as we can't keep dogs outside, would have to pay for Indoor kennels...and the dogs wouldn't be well "weatherproofed" when they went out to hunt that way......
Moral of the story??? I guess that ALL of you who have lands left have to work REALLY hard to keep them... and we ALL have to try to get the YOUTH interested in all kinds of hunting!!!!!

Hoping all of you are lucky enough to find new friends and new hunting grounds! Heather and bob
