ANNOUCEMENT to GA CLUBS

As of 11/23/2009, your clubs may apply for all their scheduled hunt dates, on one permit application. As you know, these permits are required by the state, to cover out of state hunters. Your GA. Hunting and Fishing Federation President, Mr. Reggie Dickey, made this request on behalf of the GA Federation of Coon Hunters, at his meeting with the Wildlife Resources Dept. They were very receptive and will institute the policy immeadiately. As presented, it it cut down on man hour, paperwork, and postage requirements, for an already strapped for funds division.

If you have any questions, please direct them to me at the number below. We are working on a few more items that will help the clubs in Georgia, who put on licensed UKC, PKC, and AKC events. This change, though a small one, shows what can be accomplished when people sit down and talk, with out worrying about turf. Thank you Mr. Dickey for your continued dedication to the sportsman of this great state.

i do agree that some were, and some, like in my area were not. Reggie and I got together and we decided that some uniformity was needed. Luckly, we have that now for the whole state.

I am looking forwared to seeing you at the Winter Classic, if not before. Take care and have a good Thanksgiving.

Great job. Mr. Johnson, do you know if any of our state associations are lobbying on our behalf on better access on WMA's? DNR opened them all up to year round traing for our buddies the bird hunters, but no for us. thanks.

not sure about that one, but i do know some conversation is taking place on the WMA's. I'll make a note and maybe try to add that thought to our lists of wants.....who knows.....maybe christmas will come early, but i doubt it. Those WMA's are a tough cookie to crack.

Thanks. I have contacted a few Reps about it, but was told it was more of an internal DNR thing than a legislative one.
