Millen

They are a great bunch of guys, and every hunt they have had so far, has had a good turnout. That i know of, no arguements, hard words etc..., are said. Just a good time to be had.

HEY ...

YALL WERE RIGHT. GREAT BUNCH OF MEN, WOMEN, AND CHILDREN. I REALLY ENJOYED MYSELF. HOPE TO DO IT AGAIN SOMETIME. THE COONS DIDN'T SEEM TO BE MOVING, BUT WE DID MANAGE TO MAKE ONE TREE. JUST COULDN'T GET HIM TO LOOK. I'LL TRY TO GET THE WIFE TO TAKE SOME PICTURES OF OUR SETUP FOR THE WATER RACE. THAT'S A NICE POND YALL GOT THERE. CAN'T REMEMBER THE NAMES OF ALL THE PEOPLE I MET, BUT HOPE TO SEE EVERYONE AGAIN DOWN THE ROAD.

Barry,

It was great to meet you! My husband was so mad when he found out a fellow "RED" man was there and he wasn't! He loves to talk red dogs and he loves a water race! LOL!!

It was the clubs first WR and I am sure they will improve on it. Shawn is gonna go over before the next one and try to see how it can be made better.

Atleast my dog didn't drown. He seems to be all back to normal today! But from now on you and him can be on the bank together since neither of you can swim!! LOL!! Just kidding!

Had a great time and hope you can come again! I know its a long drive - but if you love water races as good as we go you just have to make the trip since not many around in the south!

Take care!

Priscilla Hooks

PS - My little girl was the one in the pink shirt handling dogs in the bench show! Her name is Taylor.

TAYLOR ...

DIDN'T KNOW ANYONE WHEN I ARRIVED. IT DIDN'T TAKE ME LONG TO REALIZE THAT THE LITTLE GIRL WHO WAS DOING A PROFESSIONAL JOB OF BENCHING DOGS WAS NO OTHER THAN MISS TAYLOR HOOKS. I WANTED TO ASK FOR AN AUTOGRAPH BUT WAS TOO SHY. SHE REALLY DOES A GOOD JOB WITH HER DOGS EVEN THOUGH SOME ARE BIGGER THAN SHE IS. IT'S ALWAYS GOOD TO SEE YOUNG PEOPLE SO INVOLVED IN THE SPORT THAT WE LOVE. YOU CAN TELL, BY THE WAY SHE HANDLES HER DOGS, THAT SHE PUTS A LOT OF WORK AND DEDICATION INTO HER DOGS. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK, YOUNG LADY.

DID YALL NOT REALIZE SHE HAS BECOME A CELEBRITY ?

AFTER 54 YEARS, I HAVE GIVEN UP ON LEARNING TO SWIM. "JANE ! COME ! THAT'S A GOOD DOG."

I won't tell Taylor you think she is a celebrity! That will give her the big head! She does not have one of those yet and I don't want her to start!! :-)

She does put alot of work into her dogs and yes it shows! She absolutely LOVES showing. She has put everyone of her daddy's hunting dogs on the bench and has almost finished everyone of them out now! Before long she will not have any left to take to a local show!! Her feelings were hurt by the guy with the blue dog that was so upset about loosing. She said she would rather give him the win than have him be mad!

She is and has always been a gracious looser and would rather have given up the win than have that man upset and acting like a baby! Funny thing - she was the one acting like a grown up and he was the one acting like a child! I think he was shocked when I walked up and introduced myself and he realized he knew us! LOL!! It was a PRICELESS moment!!

Anyway, thanks for the wonderful comments about her! She makes me very proud - not just with the great job she does with the dogs - but with the manner in which she carries herself! Shawn and I are very blessed - that's for sure!

Take care.
