Addison's disease in coonhounds

I have an 11-month-old Redtick male that is presenting symptoms of Addison's disease. I'm wondering if anyone else has had a coon dog that presented with this condition. I'm just curious if this is common in these breeds and, if so, how easy was it to treat?
