Hunting a pup

Took my female pup, be 6 mo old the 11th. First time in the woods at night. Turned her loose in a 40 acre corn field. Watched on garmin she went about 75 yds. and moved back and forth. I walked to the edge of the field along a tree line. The moon was bright enough I didn't need my light. My pup was about 20 yds ahead of me when she started growing, I went to her real quick as I wasn't sure what she was growing at. We were right on the edge of the corn field and the was a pasture along the field. She was about 15 ft. from 6 or 7 big cows. She was sitting down and scared. I leashed her up and moved down the field away from the cows. released her and she stayed close to me till started back across the field, then she went back out to about 75 yds. She never struck so when we got back to the truck I called her in and called it a night. Her first time hunted and by herself I was happy. Maybe I'm easy to please , but I been starting pups for about the last 60 years and she actually did better then I expected as she kept busy, nose to the ground and looked like she was enjoying herself. I drove around on back roads and never seen an animal of any kind. Nothing was moving.
