The World Hunt vs. Autumn Oaks
The world hunt should not matter where it is held because you are simply competing against the dogs in your cast for those 2 hours. Therefore it is a level playing field that night and your dog just simply has to get it done. So it should not matter if you score on 1 coon or 4 because you're only competing against the other 3 dogs in your cast. Compared to if they held Autumn Oaks in the "South" and the high scoring National Grand Nite won with 175+ that would be a different argument all together. Then I could see the complaining about there being no coon where you particularly hunted compared to other casts that night. I have personally made it in to the top 8 and final cast a the $KC world hunt multiple years when it was held in Aurora, KY where there isn't many coon. But it did not matter because I only had to have the best dog in my cast for those two hours in the same patch of woods as the other 3 hounds. The world hunt is just simply a longer and tougher test of dogs from RQE's in whatever state you may be from, to the zones wherever you chose to hunt them, and again wherever the world hunt is held in that particular year, thick coon or not. But at the end of the day it does not matter where the hunt is held, you can't please everyone, especially the people who have never hunted in a World Hunt.
