Funding matters and where it comes from means more.
The kids who come to suffer from life-threatening childhood illnesses such as Leukemia need many treatment protocols and can require care that lasts years. For example, the average cost for treating Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL), the most common form of childhood cancer, is more than $485,000 over a two to three year treatment plan.
Families never receive a bill with a $0 balance for treatment, travel, housing or food. While doctors may accept insurance, many services provided have never been covered by insurance and will not be in the future. This also does not cover things such as travel, housing or food.
Many factors affect a family’s ability to care for their children. Families who can meet their own basic needs for food, clothing, housing, and transportation—and who know how to access essential services such as childcare, health care, and mental health services to address family-specific needs—are better able to ensure the safety and well-being of their children. When parents do not have steady financial resources, lack of health insurance, or suffer a family crisis such as a natural disaster or the incarceration of a parent, their ability to care for their children may be at risk. This includes being out of work to care for their child, staying at the care facility and long stays out or away from home.
Parents may not always be open to community resources that can help meet their basic needs or know how to accept support within the community without being overwhelmed. Individual pride often times makes it hard to ask for help. Providing information and connections to concrete support systems can be a tremendous help to families under stress. To do that, we need to be at the front with helping not only the kids but helping their families fight their child’s life-threatening diseases, all while giving and showing support to the entire family.
The Carolina Blues House of Blueticks will have an auction of the following: a started Carolina Blues House of Blueticks pup born 3/12/2016. They will run and tree with other dogs, as well they have treed alone. One of the two will be sold at auction to the highest bidder. If the $ amount is right the other one will be offered to the backup bidders and The Carolina Blues House of Blueticks will give both dogs’ auction proceeds to the benefit (this amount will be told to the person running the auction). Not only will the pup be up for auction but you can see them run, starting now. This will help you decide if this is what you are looking for. You may call or e-mail us for details regarding availability of hunt nights. The only way we can be fair is a "first call, first date chose to hold date. All hunts will receive a text on the date of hunt to confirm.
Selective breeding is not easy. Our puppies are raised with great attention and care. Socialization is a top priority. We believe that exposure to people and coon hides will make for a more social and confident puppy.
The Carolina Blues House of Bluetick hounds have a legendary bloodline and having been sought after for many years by hunters. The Carolina Blues House of Bluetick hounds have been bred for coon hunting but they have been successful on bear as well. The Carolina Blues House of Blueticks do not breed to sell pups. I only breed when I want pups to start working or to keep the bloodline going. These dogs are not always available. The Carolina Blues House of Bluetick hounds are high energy, highly driven, cold nosed hounds. They were bred for their loud voices, excellent tracking abilities, high intelligence, extremely cold-nose and to stand up to some of the roughest country day in and day out. We hunt everything from sand land to the mountains of NC. The pups’ bloodline goes back to hit 10 of the top Bluetick male/female producers in the UKC as of the 2016 list. Bid has been opened at $200 and will be sold at that price if it is the only bid.
The Carolina Blues House of Blueticks will also have auction a pup that was born on 10/01/16. These pups have been worked with hides and scent drags.
