$30 gift cert can't use for performance

I guess I should have read better but why can u use them to register a dog but not to performance them. I kinda understand in a way that money has to be put directly would half to be cash money, check, etc but how many people get the certif anyhow. My guess maybe 10 % I guess. Kinda confusing and it's not a huge deal but come on now, is it really going to kill you guys to let us used in performancing a pup.
