Public Forum Ethics - Friendly Reminder

While most of us have our own opinions of certain things, we need to be careful with how we share them on a public media site such as this forum. No one likes to see themselves, their buddy, their dog, their preference of strain, etc. criticized in a degrading manner for the whole world to see.

Some of that type of behavior that has been ongoing on this forum must stop. I've spent a lot of my efforts this week towards ending some of these kinds.

I've found, regardless of whom or what, everyone shares at least two things. 1) They are passionate about their red dogs and 2) they want no trouble with anyone.

I personally know the majority of folks that frequent this forum. Maybe that's the reason I sometimes choose a friendlier course of action by corresponding with the individual when there is an issue in an effort to resolve them opposed to just pulling the plug. However, regardless of any personal friendship, there is a terms of use and the same rules apply to everyone. The only exception would be for my own brother. It's called "Report to Motherator". She'll resolve the issue in the woodshed AND take his pc for a year.

Lastly and more importantly, let's not forget the next generation that is looking up to us, many of whom also frequent this board. If it weren't for them it would be over soon. The last thing we need is to force their parents to block this site from them because they get along better with their school buddies than we do.

Practicing good forum ethics is greatly appreciated. Use it as intended and it will be a good thing for everyone!
