Litter reg papers

Hi,
I have 2 (9 month old) Rat Terriers with UKCI litter registration papers. I have not sent these in for permanent single papers yet because I plan to use UKC.
Can I send in the litter registration papers to UKC to single register them with you or do I need to get idividual UKCI papers for both of them first.
I do not plan to use UKCI any longer so I'd like to bypass that extra step and extra money if possible.
I was told by another breeder that the UKCI litter reg papers will suffice for single registration with UKC. True?
