Every State has these dictating animal laws
This is an excerpt from Texas Responsible Pet Owners Alliance but it applies to EVERY STATE! Also, be aware the "AR" goals are also taught at Veterinary schools & some Vets are avid supporters. Guess they don't care if they "spay & neuter" themselves out of business?
'Longview is the home of Kelly Heitkamp, local attorney and animal "rights"
activist: http://www.heitkamplaw.com/ Her website claims she:
"Works directly with Texas Humane Legislation Network."
"Works with Animal Legal Defense Fund (ALDF).
"Aligns her goals with those of the Humane Society of the United States
(HSUS)."
Heitkamp says she campaigns for a variety of animal issues (State and
federal level) including prohibition of "puppymills," horse slaughter for
human consumption, "strengthening" the Animal Cruelty Statute of our Texas
Penal Code. Most disturbing is that Heitkamp works with ALDF to advance
animal interests through the legal system, she says. ALDF seeks to remove
animals from existing property status and grant them legal "rights" in the
court system equal to humans - allowing animals to sue their owners,
veterinarians, etc.
Heitkamp writes a weekly column in the Longview News-Journal and claims to
be an "animal welfare" attorney. Not with this resume!
Every major Texas city has a THLN operative such as Heitkamp and usually
more than one. . . .'
