Yah thats his first one since he's been huntin' at 15. He's 24 now. His first time he let a young doe go to see if a buck came along--- I guess the buck finally came along. He said it was worth the wait. WINDY down by the gateway, crossed the Mississippi and thought it was gonna blow me off the bridge. Too blasted windy too coonhunt tonite if we could. I guess no squirrel huntin' this weekend cause of deer season

been up since 4.got my gun hunters in place..Ealy's going to hunt till around 8.then we are going to take 130 lbs of deboned meat to St.Marie to have smokey links made..

Morning you all. Windy here. Going to be nice climbing on the roof of the barn. I have to start replacing those nails with screws. How is the deer hunt going Rex? Hope your hunters are killing out. TD that would have been one big drop off the bridge. ☺ Any sign you are going to get laid off? Chuck how you doing? Linda I guess you are feeding by now or cooking breakfast?

Spotty what does it cost to make smokey links? Kid had deer bacon burgers made it was pretty good. Mike that would have made one big splash. I could have went to the bottom and found some gold for Chuck. May get laid off this week if it rains that means I will be coonhunting and there will be accurate reports.

Mike wirh all this rain comming you better get you some large snow shoes to wear across those muddy fields.

mike the guys killed 3 bucks and 2 does yesterday..heard a lot of shooting back here this morning but have no report yet.i had bacon made one time up at st.joseph it was good ..10 pound box of links with jack cheese in them are 50 bucks for a 10 lb. box..theres 100 links to a box..Bill that was a dandy buck you sent me a pic. of yesterday on my phone..morning chuck...

Went to an auction today and came home with (junk) lots of goodies!!!!!!! They sold a 1994 Chevrolet 1/2 ton 6 cyc. p/u with only 26,000 plus miles on it for $7,600.00 a nice unit but a little pricey for a truck that wasn't 4 wd. Got the cook an old crock for $20.00 A number 3 size, all in all I guess it wasn't a total waste of time. No deer hunt report at this time. Would be a good coonin' nite.

I was reading in the Illinois outdoor news an article about being on the look out for feral hogs something else we will have to deal with when we are coon hunting I suppose. Said they seen a handful of sightings in Shawnee national forest and a few more in North Central parts of the state. Says they may be a threat to invade the state.

Those coons will be a moving target tonight. TD sounds like you bought the best that was there. Something to cook in and fill your stomach. Good night guys.

last day for my gun hunters..got one boy thats 15 and one thats 12 ,they are the only 2 that aint killed ,sure hope they get it done this morning..coons just didn't move to good last night ,just some den trees is all i seen.

Mike I been up since 5:00 just doing other things. Td is just rising. Ain't no sunshine he says so no big hurry to get around. He's still hoping for rain so he don't have to work tomorrow.
