Talked about bad luck. Dogs went in 856 yards sat tree and walked across a muddy field which darndid me in. My lungs were working overtime. Had to stop four times to get across it. Cross a slough and found out had both boots had holes in them. That water was cold. My buddies light quit working our garmins were messing up and top it all off walked into a slick tree. We got our dogs headed back and Jason dog went behind us. Walked to the truck through the same water and fields and arrived at the truck and drove to his dog. I didn't go with him. He walked into her at 436 yards and it was a persmison tree. We called it quits after that. Our bad luck has to break. Hope tonight. We have a buddy hunt tonight.

Bill Ron Beltz had a dog drowned down at Devils Kitchen lake and Doug Rentfro had a dog killed on the road the first night of season.

Movin' slow this mornin'----went last nite Jeff Ashmore his son Andrew with his buddy Blake and my youngest James. Windy was the word on the flats. We started on the county line south at 6:35 first strike 6:44 den tree by 6:51. Too make a long boring report short at 9:04 we called it quits. Two dens--5 slicks--1 minus and 1 grinner
All in all nice exercise, didn't loose any dogs, blue pup showed promise. END of accurate hunt report.
At least you didn't lose your dogs.

Yes sir Mike I would say that was the only good thing. Still windy up here, if you could turn the trees upside down there wouldn't be much of anything you couldn't sweep. I expect the winds are blowin' 30 mph or more, and more with gusts.
It is blowing down here and they say gusting 35mph. I believe it. It has done this since yesterday. Those big rigs on the highway I feel for them today trying to handle them unless they are going with the wind.
