FLOYD

I have Cole Moore's Sue gyp in the kennel now. She is just starting to drip and will be bred to Floyd. She is a big houndy gyp and is bred right. Sue is out of ChGrNtCh PR Barker Creeks Poncho ( B&D's Spike ) x NtCh Uchtmans Blue Maude ( GrNtCh PR Uchtmans Albert Again) .

Cotton had 8 pups last night and looked to have a few more in her belly. I will check on her this morning. I had the heat lamp on her as well as a heater in the whelping house. Hopefully I will have good luck with them.

Cotton had 11 pups total. 1 born dead and 10 squirming everywhere. Hopefully Cotton and myself can raise them.

Thanks Dave. Hopefully I will have good luck with them. They are really marked up good. I am super excited about these pups. Cotton is a coondog and I don't use that term lightly.

FLOYD X COTTON

Looks like Cotton should raise 7 pups. 3 males and 4 females. All pups are marked up good and are healthy.
There have been some really nice females bred to Floyd here in Alabama. I know all pups and all crosses don't work but I feel confident that there will be some really nice hounds showing up in the future from some of these crosses.

FLOYD

I bred 2 nice gyps this week. I have hunted with both gyps and they are nice coon treeing gyps.

First gyp is a sister to Cotton. Should be a really nice cross.

Second gyp is a Bullet and heavy Smokey river gyp that is a proven reproducer.

IТll update as soon as gyps start to show.
Terry Tibbs said his Blue Gal gyp is showing. She is older Uchtman blood that Elmo Overton had on top and littlejohn arkie bred on bottom.

Floyd pup

I have had several more calls on breeding to Floyd. We will see. I showed my Floyd x Emma pup a coon last week. He is just a baby at 3 1/2 months old but he barked at the coon and treed on it when I pulled it up. He is oldest litter here in Alabama.

Grits has a lot of RC X Jenny. That line as also done well. Not many breeding it anymore. Still old Smokey River x Rambo x Uchtman and Hammer

FLOYD

Floyd is still in Alabama. Scott and I have been trying to get together to get him to Wisconsin. Scott has had back surgery and has been limited to how far he can go. My wife has been diagnosed with cancer again so I have been limited to the local hunts and haven't been able to travel long distance from home myself. Hopefully we will get things worked out and Floyd will be available to anyone up that way interested in breeding to him.
