That is great! I'd bet that Dan is not done winning. I'm tickled that he is qualified and he'll be a handfull for whoever draws him at the Zones. He is definitely a cast winner.

Moose

Mike took Moose for a short hunt tonight. He fell treed 100yrds from the truck. As I was shining the tree the coon bailed. Moose managed to get him treed shortly after. Thanks to Jeral Keener Moose has two 1st place wins. Hopefully I can pick up another win this weekend. See y'all Friday night.

Hey Mike,

I took Rex back to town lastnight and he got a 2nd, so that makes another or maybe the first night champ for the Mose x Monkey cross. He drew out with 3 walkers and put it on them for the win!

Danny Taylor and Moose

Danny finished Moose to NTCH at the Fall Round-up in Illinois on Thursday with a 5th place. Got second place NTCH and a win towards GRNT on Friday with 450+. Won NTCH's and his second win towards GRNT on Saturday with 650+. This also earned him High Scoring Dog and King of the Hunt.

Way to go Danny! You dang sure were due for some good fortune to come your way. I'm tickled for you.

I am currently hunting a grandson of Mose (John II x Lucy), that I call Cowboy. I started him in the hunts this summer and he is now a GR CH and has 4 NT CH wins as a 2 yr old. I believe Bluetickers will be reading about Mose for a long time through his pups,grand pups and great grand pups. Good Job Mike.........Tim

Danny is not the kind to brag on his dog so I will do a little bragging for him.
I hunted Moose for a month or two for Danny a year or two back when the female I was hunting had to be put down.
Moose is smart level headed hound with a BIG mouth. He goes hunting really good and is quick to strike. He is an open trailer that will get to the front with most dogs. He has an incredible locate that you can tree him on before he is finished. He is a quick locater that is tough to get treed on and I have seen him slip off and tree coons around dogs. I have seen him fall out of horse race's on field edges and fall treed with coons while the other dogs were just running to be running. He is the kind of dog that is going to put a lot of first trees on a score card. He is not perfect but is sure enough a nice hound.

Danny would like to breed Moose to the right kind of female. He is out of Mose and Jim Combs Big Time Kate female. Kate was out of Screwey Lewey and a Guy Ormiston bred female.
I personally think Moose would be a good place to go with Rebel females to double up on Mailes Pete and Rambo II, but that is just my opinion.

Danny, I hope you don't mind me tootin ol Moose's horn a little.

I can promise you one thing you will never hear me talking any of my dogs up. If I'm hunting one it pleases me. Moose is a fun dog to hunt. I would love to get some pups on the ground out of him and some nice females. If someone would be interested in breeding to him I would pay him up this year as a prefromance sire. He will be paid up in 2014. Thanks again for tootin Moose's horn. Anyone is welcome to come an hunt with us at anytime.

I hunted with Moose when Mike was hunting him for Danny. Sure enough a top hound. Danny I would give it lots of thought before sending him north for more training. He was one lucky hound to survive the Hurt training facility. Just joking but his accident would have kilt most hounds. Glad to see Moose back at 100 percent.
