Did you get anything for winning, would be nice when they give something for the hunt winners they should for the ft and water races. A dog that wins in the ft has to move a track and fast. Are you going to be coming to the wiltons ft wt race on 8-11 i think its the kids day one, maybe we can have a rematch. lol.

sure enjoyed seeing all my old and new friends, but with a crowd this size I sure missed meeting lots of fine folks.

Unless things start to change...get used to not receiving anything but that yellow slip of paper...In the past, there has not usually been much recognition for either of those events...

This year I have been to a lot more events that are giving recognition in form of really nice awards, but there are still a lot that just don't bother.

This comes pretty close to being my idea of the perfect swim pond. Big and wide! I wish I'd have brought a swimsuit and had time to swim. Rope swing on one side, slide on the other, and a little beach area. It's nice!

Travis, didn't get anything but the receipt. I think it would have been nice if they could have given a t-shirt to the WR and FT winners. By the time we paid for entries, fuel, food and raffle tickets there was no money left to buy the t-shirt!

You'll have to let us know when your dog finishes to GrF, then we can have a rematch. Both the dogs we ran on Saturday are UKC GrFChs. A big reason we made the trip up for it is because we could run both dogs, but we never expected the turnout would be so low that they'd have to run against each other. (Also forgot AKC does 6 dog heats, which I don't care for.) I can't speak for Tiny (who somehow got renamed Addlen in WI...lol), but I have zero interest in pursuing AKC coonhound events/titles.

We'll be back up in WI again this year for UKC Water Races. We've still got Rose to finish to GrW.

In the meantime, I need to get down to Cole Camp too. Holy cow, 45 dogs!!! Now that's a water race! And was there more than 1 dog in the Grand heat?

Anyone know any other upcoming dates for Cole Camp, besides July 21?

On the weekend of the State Championship, do both days count towards this years points? Or just Friday?

Both days will go with this year and the new year will begin on Sunday which is Mussel Creek/Higbee I'm thinking.

Mr. Joe told me she kept shaking her head. That's not something I usually have a problem with, with her. She just never settled in. I wish they could tell us what's going on with them

This is correct,info. in the magazines about the start and end of the MCHF fiscal year was incorrect. The fiscal year ends at the end of the state championship so anything after that even if it is the very next day (like Mussel Creek /Higbee) will be on the next years fiscal year.

Rose finally came in heat -- almost 2 months behind schedule! No water races for me for the next month.
She should hopefully be done in time for me (or Tiny) to make it to the big event at Cole Camp next month, but she'll be totally out of shape and non-competitive.
We had planned to breed her this time, but now it's just too late in the year. We'll have to catch her next time around.

Had a good time at the open water race in Winterset yesterday. Got both Rose and Casey into the final heat, but then they both got spanked there by those red-colored dogs (RED-bone and RED-tick...LOL). Nice job!!
BIG THANKS to the Winterset club for doing this.....especially on Sundays. We really appreciate it since Tiny and I can both go!!!!

chawn i have a good time with you and tiny at winterset . The good thing about race a male he never comes in heat lol. i got a couple weeks off and back to racing troy on 8/4 troy on 8/11 cole camp on 24,25 and higbee on the 26 i just hope with copper only needing to win to be grand that he will make it by the end of augs

Oak Hill Coon Club (Cole Camp,MO) had very good turnout again and was enjoyed by all !!! As always the best part was the time spent with many of My friends !!! The worst part was the extreme HEAT but we survived and had fun!!!! CYa

i had a good day at troy ,ia i won the Champin class with WCH GRCH'PR' Buckskin Copper head (1 win left to be grand water) and won the open line and tree in both heat and fainals with 'PR'C & D Red Kate (she is well on her way to be a water champin now that the hard part is done)

Here are some pics of the pond and tree at Castalia Iowa. After the swim, the dogs need to get their butts out of the pond and hoof it up the hill to the tree (which my dog didn't do). LOL
Really pretty country up there. I would definitely go back! My only complaint would be the parking situation -- kinda narrow and limited.

This was the Water Ch heat.

Had a great time at Cole Camp,MO today !!! Super Grip (Ole Blue) has had a hard time in His quest to become GRWCH.As You know a champion needs five wins to become a grand and at least one of those the dog must win both line and tree in the ch. finals.Well, "Ole Blue" had seven first trees and just couldn't get that line and tree together win even though He often only missed it by inches.Today He gotter done !!!!!! YEA!!!!!!!He is now a grand show and a grand water champion!!!!!!

We made a new WCH tonight ay Kinder, MO with our female HEMI!!!
ALSO she picked up her last field trial points at American Redbone Days AND National Plott Days achieving her FCH title at Plott Days a couple weeks ago!!
