No doubt about that..I am right up the road..you need to drop one of those mediocre coon treeing dogs off let me know..I will meet you out front. I got to get going and hopefully this young dog I got will get going...I have been in this game on and off for 8 years and still havent ended up with a nice blue dog like I hoped. Wish I would of had one ( better than what I did) to put all that time in I did on the one I hunted with you so much back in 09 but I guess you live and learn...wasted way too much time for nothing. Gonna try a little longer and hopefully I will end up with something.

CW, I also sold my last, walker, Slingblade...Priced him to cheap, at $3000, but he taught Blues all he knew, and I know, he's going to a good home...Wishful thinking, but I would like to have the First Blue dog that wins the UKC World Hunt...I got a Dream, LOL!!! PS..can you tell I'm bored..TTYL

Hope she is on her game tonight and Saturday night. If you place I think that will finish her? James, Chris and Joe thanks for checking in on here. James you two represent Bluedawgs just fine in your part of the state, maybe I should be down there trying to bring one back up here. Chris once you come up with a good one I think you are going to find that you will appreciate it even more-having so to speak-paid your dues these last years. So many buy a dog, a 4x4, some decals and get on here and talk about how they think the Blue dogs are gonna improve now. I've said it before and I'll say it again--if I did not think I was hunting the right breed-I'd have switched. Just for the record when I am asked-How many Walker dogs did you have to beat to make these Blueticks GrNt champions? Answer like I do and say "All of Them!!!!! How many of you that are packing a good hound have been paid a 2nd class compliment like "That is the best Blue Dog I have seen or hunted with" If you are gonna say something nice about the guys dog-just say it-you don't have to qualify it. It's the same thing when we out run Jap Bikes on a Harley--they don't know what to say. Got to luv it!

Friday night show down

CW, cast winner had 300+, Blues had 275+, after she was minused 125...Got beat by 25!! Blues was ahead, and doing it right! I'm very proud of this jet Gyp! How did I get 125 taken from me, well I ??? That my self.... All dogs were struck in, one dog went left handed, and treed. We waited the 5, and went to that dog. There we were all shiny the tree. The judge, and another guy crossed a small creek shiny the tree, me and the guy, with the dog on tree, was shining this side. well several minutes went be, and I crossed the creek, standing with the judge. I looked up, and seen the boys coon. The judge then said he seen the coon. Well, then I said, let's walk back, up on the hill, and regroup for we can hear our dogs. This is where it gets interesting, LOL!!!! We walked back across the creek, I advised the boy that we seen his coon, and to get his dog, we were going to walk toward ours, and regroup at the top of the hill where we last heard ours. Well I got to the top of the hill and the judge, and the other guy, kept walking. I asked them to stop for I can hear. Well I heard the other two dogs treeing, along with Blues. I said tree blues. The judge said, ok but you just got 125-, because that trees dead. I asked when they treed their dogs, and he said when they were on the other side of the creek, shining the tree. I asked the judge, if that was true, shouldn't you have told me that when we regrouped, and advised the time going on the tree. The judge said I told everybody, (that's silly). I then said, do you think, " I'm that stupid", that i'de tree my dog on a dead tree. He said, "I Dont know if you would or not, I don't know you. Well anyway, the judges dog moved, and got minused, LMAO!!!! Well at the tree I asked for him to put a ? On the card, and he told me they ain't no ? About it... I said let's us all vote on it, and he said they ain't no question, and they ain't no voting. Then the judge said his dog didn't move, that his dog had a loud mouth, and he treed him on that tree, (WHat)!!!!! Well they wouldn't vote on Blues 125-, but wanted to vote on the judges dog moving. Well we all voted to minus the judges dog, but wouldn't vote on my ole Bluedog, LOL!!!! Well I made him put a ? on the 125-.......We got back to the Club and The master of hounds, ruled in the judges favor, saying it was my responsibility, to stay around the judge, to know what's going on... I said we were shining a tree, and he said it didn't matter, it was my responsibilty to stay with the judge... Well guess what I'm going to do on Saturday night? Stay right beside the judge, and help nobody shine their tree!!! No, I'm not that way, but that's how I felt. If it wasn't for me crossing the creek, and seeing the coon, do you think the judge would have seen that boys coon? Blues and I, are going to BEd, TTYL!!!

Dave-exactly what I'm talking about and what I meant about it being a 2nd handed deal. It's like the 2 man track meet between Russia and the USA, We won the race but when the Russian news paper came out it read--Russian runner up winner in track meet-American finishes next to last-same thing only different! ERIC-hate to hear this kind of --well we agreed to stay at least PG rated. Go get a win tonight and you will still get in with any luck. Had to put 6 wins on old Flower to make her a Grand Nt cause of stuff just like that. She is leading after the 1st drop on a 3 dog cast. One guy withdraws. Next drop Flower gets the strike . The judge trees his dog on Flower's locate. When we walk into the tree the dogs are split on each side of a little ditch-so I say split tree my dog. He has the 1st two minutes.Later I find the coon directly above Flower but it does appear to be in his dogs tree. He then ask me do I want to look for her coon? I replied-What are you talking about?--we don't know which dog treed this or which tree it went up. With just the 2 of us -that is the vote-I say you plus both-you cannot plus one but not the other-he plused his- circled mine. I put a question . We finish the cast-I get 1st & 1st on the last coon. Turn in scorecard-Master of hounds rules for me. He calls for a meeting-club rules in my favor-he sends it to as far as you can and it got reversed-to date the only time I have ever been ruled against since I have been envolved in this sport. Tonight is a new night-go do it for your dog- she deserves it!

Jackson Poole-Esquire

Had the distinct pleasure of experiencing a true slice of American Pie last night. Jackson, all of 5 years old-give or take a month or two and his father Casey along with Bobby Carter with 3 of these old Blue dogs thrown in made up the ingredients for an enjoyable evening. Mother nature not to be outdone threw in a calm, clear, cool sunset with a late rising moon. While the hounds were doing their thing-young Mr.Poole and I conversed on very diverse topics-school, his younger sister, Bigfoot and a recent dream that became all to real. Seems he had dreamed about a spider and that woke him up-so just in case Mama and Daddy had the same dream-he crawled into their bed to comfort them, not wanting them to be scared. The very next day he encounters a spider in the bathroom and took off screaming to Daddy. By this time we have walked into a tree and this is where young Jackson shows yours truly that he is a veteran coonhunter. While the three of us are saying here it is, do you see it Jackson?-look right here! Jackson is murming yea, aah, well--and then when he did see those eyes he lit up. Think he was willing to give us the benefit of doubt to that point. Jackson hung in there until after 1 in the morning and then with head on Casey's shoulder-he went off to lala land. I just hope he dreamed about coonhunting on this night instead of them ole spiders!

isnt it great if more people could experience the joys and pleasure in the outdoor night think how much more laxed the world could be!!! nothing more enjoyable than that of the company and music of the hounds. at least till u get to the tree and see ole grinner lol!!!

To my knowledge the cross was only made once, so your Bawls dog is a littermate to the Junior dog on page two. Your dog was shown as registered to Ruben Huntley in Five Points, Tn. Is that you? Thank you for responding on here. With any luck the next time the Junior dog even places in a hunt-he will be a night ch. There are 3 others from this litter that can do it-one is going thru heartworm treatment or she would be finished. Gr Nt Ch Broken Road Blue Gal and her kennel mate- Girl are in NC. Good things are predicted for Girl in the woods and the hunts this year. If you wish to contact me concering your dog then please do so. Good Luck--CW.

CW, Jackson is a trip for sure and will be a real deal coon hunter when he grows up I believe. He has a awesome father to learn from, as well as the many other Poole's that dabble in the blue dogs as you know. I have been on a couple hunts with him and he is a tropper for sure. He can keep up with the best of em from what I have seen. Just wish I had his energy..thats for sure. Hope my little girl likes it as much as he does. I guess we will find out in a few years.

Everyone who has sent me a private message-Thank you. I either have talked with you or will get back to you soon. Hunted every night last week-this change in the weather has been most welcome. Dave-Scott Phillip's Maggie female tested positive for heartworms and I sure hope she comes thru this with flying colors. It,s going to take me awhile to come up to speed with this computer-but this is certainly helping. There was only 45 pups permantly registered off 6 Again out of the 54 he sired. It is also been nice hearing from folks that had pups off Blue Bio Blue Jet who was later known as Nt Ch Warrior Creek CW.

2nd Night

CW, Blues got beat on the second night. We got second again in the cast, but this time, we got beat, fair and square. Blues split treed first let out, and held the pressure, 40 yards above the other, three walker dogs. We Shined their tree, no coon seen. We then shined mine, and seen three coon. The other drops were all circle points. The Last Two drops, were split trees, and The man, Charlie, who got third place in World last year, got the plus points, and beat me/Blues. Great bunch of guys, that new the rules of the game, made it a great cast....

Our sport is what we make it. You got to see two different examples this past weekend. I do respect you for telling it like it was-you got beat Sat. night-you are not going to win them all. In fact truth be known you are going to loose more than you ever win-so take it like a man. Next time you win it will be that much nicer. Got calls from several people, some while I was hunting last night and again early this morning. I am not like Ed -well not yet anyway-Ed is gonna get his 8hrs. sleep regardless of when he gets in 9pm or 9am. He does make me wish I could sometimes. How many of you can vouch for me on this? Let me hear from you--Terry, Jeff, Terrence.....who else?

I once asked Ed Mead, What time do you get up in the morning? Ed replied "just add 8 to it". I asked him what the heck does that mean? He said when I go to bed just add 8 hours to the time, and that's when he gets up. I have spent many mornings walking around Ed's yard waiting on the 8 to get him.
