The hunt in Decorah this past weekend was a 2 night event.

Aubrey won NITECH on Friday night with Sunni, and Terry won 1st place open registered with Country Girl.

On Saturday night, Carl won 1st place open registered with Junior (finishing him to NITECH), and High Scoring male over the 2 nights. Terry won 2nd place with Country Girl (also finishing her to NITECH), and was High Scoring female of the 2 nights. Congrats guys......Keep 'em rolling!

Also, at the show on Saturday, NITECH CH Coon Machine Sir Walter (Rip x Rose pup, o & h by Zeb Holkesvik) won Champion male and King of Show, and Terry and Country Girl won Champion female.

Congrats to all!

We had a great time at National Redbone Days last week/weekend. I think we're finally recovered! It was good to see some that we hadn't seen in a few years. Thanks to the Association for putting on the event. A big thanks to the Wolverine Coonhunters Club members for all their hard work; they always do such a good job taking care of the details, and the event ran very smoothly. A special thanks to Todd Baker for sugaring up my children all weekend......they had a great time!

We received an update today from Justin on his 10 month old Rock x Sunni pup...

"I just wanted to give you a update on Tuff. My neighbor called this morning and said there was a coon in my front yard. I ran out back and cut Tuff loose on him. Let me tell you he is a slobber mouth tree dog. He was counting them off. That was only the second coon he's ever seen. I've only been able to take him hunting about 3 times. It's super hot here right now. But I'm very excited. Can't wait for the weather to cool down. Here is a picture of Tuff and my Dad."

Thanks for the update, Justin! He's going to be a fun one this fall!

hey aubrey i hope the wife and kids stayed dry last friday night!!! i was laughing watching kevin and those crazy hunters out there in the pouring down rain. speck did well and got high scoring dog and won another win towards grntch. take care and keep them red dogs looking good
