Thanks everybody, I've just now felt like typing something out, I've been sick as a dog. Them yankee germs have been kicking my butt!

We had a GREAT time up North.

Tuesday night we pleasure hunted with Kerry and Kim Oswalt in Indiana, we treed some coons and had a blast as always. Wednesday night we pleasure hunted with David Oswald in MI and had another good hunt.

Thursday we came back down to LaGrange and hunted the Young Guns. I hunted Panic and Curtis Todd hunted Whip. My cast scored on one coon in a dozer pile and Panic was split away from it. When the dust settled Curt and Whip won with 525+ and were Overall Champions of the Junior Division of the Young Guns.

Friday night I hunted Panic and Curt hunted Whip. Neither of us had any luck. Panic didn't look her best and Curt said Whip couldn't catch a break.

Saturday night I hunted Panic and Curt hunted Whip. We both won our cast with 475+, both looked good and did what they were supposed to do. Whip beat Panic out on the tie breaker and went on to win 5th Place NITECH.

I sure enjoyed the trip, it was good seeing old friends and meeting new ones. The fuel pump went out on my truck about an hour south of LaGrange so we had to spend an extra day in Indiana but all in all it was an awesome trip. BIG thanks to Curt for doing such a great job handling Whip. He raised him and knows him like the back of his hand. They make a tough team.

Thanks Vic! It was good to meet you too, hate we were in a rush to get to the woods, I'd have liked to have shot the breeze a little longer.

I'm as excited about the Demi cross as I've ever been about any cross. Demi is a proven reproducer that is a coon dog herself and bred right. I expect these puppies to please the hard to please.

Jeremy Mullis bred his Kate female to Brummy Thursday. I used to own Kate and she's a nice little hound. When I owned her she went hunting hard, was a little tight on track and would be alone with a coon treed somewhere. I liked her. She's a grand daughter to Crosby's Smokin' Joe and a grand daughter to Hammer 18.

Don Simpson bred his Lady female to Whip last week. Lady is heavy Jet bred. He's located in North Carolina.

Jeremy Mullis bred his Kate female to Brummy last week, Kate is a grand daughter to Hammer 18 and a grand daughter to Crosby's Smokin' Joe. He's located in middle Georgia.

Curtis Todd has bought Whip back. I think he's regretted selling him since I bought him and he made me an offer I couldn't refuse. I wish y'all nothing but the best Curt, Whip is a nice dog.

Been crazy at work the last month or so, haven't been able to hunt nearly as much as I'd like. We've got a shut down the rest of the week, hoping after it's over and we get some maintenance done things will settle down a little bit.

Took Miss Georgia over to The Rock yesterday to have "relations" with Brummy. She will be there for a few days and I'm looking for some fast starting black headed TREE minded great looking pups on the ground around the 2nd week of October.

Got her bred the first time last night, planning to hit her a couple of more times over the next few days. Georgia is a nice female that can tree any kind of coon and doesn't need any help to do it.
