Turned loose from the kennel here tonight. First coon was .65 miles and had it! I drove about 500 yd away, so the walk wasn't too bad!


Cut loose across the road from where we parked and she went .94 to hit a BAD track! Worked it there for about 50 minutes and put a coon at the end! Once again, we got lucky and I drove about 20 ft from her! LOL

HAVE NOT HUNTED IN 2 WEEKS SNOW IS STILL HERE AND SO IS THE COLD. BEEN ROADING RAT 3-4 TIMES A WEEK KEEPING HIM IN SHAPE FOR WALKER DAYS.HOPEFULLY IT WILL WARM UP SOON AND I CAN GET BACK TO THE TIMBER!!

Hi Bill How did your night go No raccoons were brought in but from what I hear everybody had a Good time trying / we made 1 tree & Rat had it by himself now Bob said it could have been a den but I am thinking by the way he talked it one of them ghost coon trees lol I could not make it up pipeline to get to Rats tree to steep or something lol We quit & went back to Elmira to watch the weigh ins ect ect ect ! No Champs this year Looking like some guys are going to make a come back with Blue hounds around here I got to hunt with a Tuna Valley Blue male lastnight & I know you guys had a Tennessee coonhunter that likes them Blues hunting with UALL lastnight ! Can one of you guys come up with another Sargents Blue ? We will be watching !

Turned Bo loose by the river, he struck and worked a cold track for about 35 mins and put an end to it. We turned my brothers dog on the other side and he came to Bo but split about 15 yards away and had a coon as well.

Hey Tom the dream team is a bunch of traders lol. Bill gets a blue tick and traded to fred and Rock lol yes I said it FRED and ROCK lol again and my other member Chip said Maggie didn't want to go out in the cold what do ya expect from a black and tan anyways. Now for next yr. there will be a dream team what will consist of all Walkers now there are two up and comming pups at my house you may know of one Kane . The other is a top secret female going on 6 months old. talk to ya all later and hope to see everyone next yr at the contest including the fred and rock connection

get the best of both worlds keep a blue dog for them bad nights keep a walker so you see several coons on a good night just the difference in breeds i like both not color blind here a coondog is a coondog is a coondog a trash dog is a trash dog and all breeds got plenty of both hope the weather gets better soon got 3 young dogs that need hunting good hunting!!!!!

Hi RJ Alot of traders this year Thats a good one The Fred & Rock Connection / Been waiting on Billy for the lowdown on their night of hunting since they did not make it to the weigh ins / How did you guys do RJ I have a hard time remembering what you told me lol Get them pups in the woods RJ next year will be even tougher !

Hi Jimmy I may have to disagree on the Blue hound thing / hunt a Walker on the good & bad nights I am color blind & as far as the trash thing my hound is strait sometimes it is like he runs nothing like the other night I think he was just practicing Treeing while the other hounds were just practicing Running Track lol You keep at good weather & hunting is coming !

took Rat out agin tonight,wasn't as good as last night,but it beats sitting in front of the tv! right off the bat rat put one in the ground and rolled out of it and treed on a den,next drop he was 919yds on another den it started getting cold so I came home.

BLADE AND BONNIE

We havent hunted in the past two weeks but got out alittle while
last nite. dropped out twice and treed twice, couldnt find the first one but found the second. Here's pic's of the second tree.
BTW- we forgot the tracking collars last nite, funny how you miss them when their not there.

Hey terra I see Blade & Bonnie look like they have to negotiate water where you hunt / Harold Blades previous owner always said That Dang Dog is Afraid to get his Feet Wet & it use to Pi$$ me off lol I knew it was not the water but where we were turning loose / sloughs located in downtown Leddbetter KY / behind Leddbetters Carwash / Auction Barn cow's mooing LOUDSPEAKER Blairing / & The Best spot would be Behind the LeddBetter Dandy Mart Dumpster Coon lol Turning loose beside peoples houses / It would take Blade till the 3rd night before he would tree a Raccoon the 1st 2 trips / Had Harold wondering What he might have bought lol He had never been hunted in anything close to this New downtown coonhunting territory / But he came around & was looking Good we spent the month In Leddbetter KY Oct 2007 had a Great time / All but having to leave Blade / We put on some miles in them 3yrs Coon Hunting & Traveling ! I will say the Last tree I took Blade off He was Split by Himself & had a Smithland KY Raccoon / I was Proud of Blade

Looking like not much Good hunting until MAYBE Tues night !

Blade aint got no problem with water, him and Bonnie carried that first coon fridaynite across a big duck pond.

Is that Rat dog "kin"to Blade? That sure is a good-lookin dog.

Hi terra Blade & Rat are both out of Anny / she only had 1 pup her last litter & Rat would be it / Rat is off Big Oak Danny Boy / sure would have liked a couple more / But I am happy with the one I got / Rat has alot of Blades characteristics Blade likes to carry them coon out / one night I had to make him drop coon before truck it was out of season / he caught this one lol Blade has had coon shot out to him in Pa / NY / OH / GA / AL / KY & of course your home state now The Best one for Blade & I was in Alabama on Bob Dudleys land after the hunt this Fine older gent ask if I would like to shoot coon if they had it & I said Yes & Blade & I got our 1st AL Raccoon / I can't give the gentleman's name do not want to cause any conflict between him & Bob lol But will say he has Trained & Hunted some Nice Hounds ! Another would be I got into Blades tree one night & there was this Nice 10 point Buck lying next to his tree / it had been there awhile & I took his head with leatherman & Shot Blades raccoon out & headed back to truck feeling Good / don't get much better than that on 1 turn !

Blade and Bonnie

We went out for a little while last nite,first tree had 3 coon's,the second had one and the third was also a single.

Not bad for a 2 1/2hr hunt.

Going back to the Good ole days when the weather was Nice ! Blade & some other hounds had a Good season ! You guys around here remember them years when the weather would stay decent for coonhunting a majority of the season ?

No huntin tonite, been raining all day and supposed to rain all nite.

Tom, it seems that at least once a year a coon get's Bonnie's ear good!

Aint nobody been huntin lately?

We plan on going wed.nite. Hopefully I'll have some pic's of a coon or two to post.

the weather up here sucks snow hard crust but not hard enough to keep you up cold weather way to long can't wait for it to warm up got lots of training to do 2 young blue dogs however there is a pkc hunt at fred's in tioga 2/17 may go depending on weather will take jet if i go hows that blade doing???
