Jewel should be having pups sometime this weekend or shortly after. I've got her in the whelping house. Can't wait for them to hit the ground.

Jewel had 6 pups and 1 pup was born dead. Looks like 3 females and 2 males. I will have one male available for sale. Pups will be UKC performance.

FLOYD X BELLE

Scott and I decided to breed Belle to Floyd. We think this will be a very nice cross. Belle is a nice houndy gyp that goes hunting hard. She is a nice chop mouth tree dog that mostly stands back or sits at the tree. Scott put a first place on her and my cousin has been hunting her up to put her in some hunts. He got sidetracked with his new job over the last couple of weeks but should be back hunting soon. Belle is tight on the ground but has a nice locate. Belle's littermate brothers , GrNtChGrCh PR Smokey River Tramps Shadow and GrNtChGrCh PR Mackie Creek Black Jack have proven themselves winners. Belle is from a proven cross and hopefully she can reproduce some nice pups as well.

FLOYD X JEWEL

I came in from hunting last night and Jewel had laid on 3 of the pups. She is down to 2 pups. She is in a warm place with a 4x4 whelping box with pig rails to keep from smothering the pups and she still managed to somehow lay on 3 pups. Frustrating but you can only do so much.

I appreciate it buddy. Stanley Bowling called and said Jewel was a good mother for him. I have her in a 10 x10 metal building with a concrete floor and a 4x4 whelping box with pig rails and a heat lamp. She is a wired up type of gyp so being confined in the building may have her edgy. Who knows!1 Scott I hope Belle has some pups for sure. I have bred her twice. Should be some lookers for sure as Belle is a good houndy gyp with a male dog head. Y'all keep'em Lookin UP!!

World Hunt

Congrats to Jimmy Don Presley on qualifying his Floyd female for the 2019 World hunt last night!

Floyd will be down in Alabama until Spring and then will be back up North.

Steve Wilson called today and is planning on breeding his older gyp to Floyd. She is a proven reproducer. His Dual Grand Emma gyp is out of her. Should be ready this weekend.

Talked to a very nice gentleman yesterday from Missouri that has a GrChNtCh female that he is going to breed to FLOYD when she comes in heat. She is very well bred and is a hard classy tree dog. Looks like a few more crosses will be made with FLOYD. The gentleman hunted with a male out of FLOYD and said he had a big motor and track speed and was a classy hard treedog to boot. There will be FLOYD offspring showing up for the next few years. Scott and I still haven't decided when and where FLOYD will be going back to Wisconsin. Looks like he will be south in Alabama for a few more weeks. I talked to a well known blueticker in Arkansas yesterday and we are trying to figure out how to get his proven reproducing female here to be bred to FLOYD.

Elmo, I'm not 100 percent on the dogs names but Steve said she is older uchtman blood. I have a pup here from Emma and Floyd that is a nice houndy sucker. Look forward to what the cross will produce with Emma's momma.

I'd love to see her three generation pedigree.
I don't think the pups will last long once born. They will have it all. She is a good looking gyp as well.

I picked up 2 nice pups yesterday from Chris Blackmon. One out of GrNtCh Koon Krossin Grits and one from his Bee gyp out of Southshore Dr Blue RJ.

I am excited about a cross I have made here on Floyd. Cotton is definitely bred and I pray that I have good luck with her litter. She is starting to show good and I have quit hunting her. I will get her in the whelping building in a couple of weeks.

Thanks Scott. I think there will be some that will raise eyebrows from some of the crosses made on Floyd. Cotton’s sire Logan reproduced several super nice coondogs and Cotton’s momma reproduced nice coondogs out of several different studs. Hopefully the blood will all fall into place and if so, these should be super nice pups.

I've had several calls on breeding to Floyd. There are some nice reproducing gyps that could be bred if the timing works out. Scott and I are not exactly sure when Floyd will be headed back up north to Wisconsin. We are working on it. Scott has some exciting things planned for him up there this spring and summer.

Terry Tibbs brought his nice gyp he calls Blue Gal over to breed to FLOYD. Gal has a big motor and no reverse. She is a really nice tree dog. She is out of Micheal Fords GrNtCh Zeke dog which is old uchtman stuff that Elmo Overton had for years. Her bottom side is GrNtCh Littlejohns Little Arkie. She is a nice houndy gyp that should cross well with FLOYD.
