Gin has all of the Misty River Dogs behind he on her sire's side, as Dutch is a littermate brother to my Doll 1V female, but I didn't have anything to do with the breeding of Gin, all that credit goes to Mr. Bill Goode. I was just lucky enough to get one of the pups. I got Gin here almost on her 1st birthday and she had never been fooled with. I started hunting her and she went right to work, she was a natural and yes she is Monkey Faced.

Beautiful hound in my opinion. Great reading Mr. Jack!! She has sisters all over the country treeing coon!!
Take Care,
Scott

The Misty River Line

The female in the picture above is Ch.Nite Ch."PR" Misty River Blue Doll 1V. Me and Doll has roamed these Pearl River swamps a many a night and she has been the same dog night after night. Doll 1V's sire was Gr. Nite Ch. Gr. Ch. "PR" Smokey River Tramp's Blue Lake. Her Dam was "PR"Misty River Blue Doll 111. Doll 1V was naturally strait, She never ran anything but a coon. She had a good nose and she was fast, and she could lock up a tree with the best of them. She should have been Dual Grand by the time she was three, But I had slowed way down on my competition hunting when she came along. Not only was she a great coondog, she was a great reproducer. My Tramp 11 dog and my Doll V female are both out of her. Doll 1V is still here with me. She will be 9 years old later this year. She has been a good one.

Misty River Windy

Posted by Misty river on 02-19-2016 05:49 PM:

Misty River Windy

The little dog in the picture above is Misty River Windy, no she is not Blue, but she is a good one. Windy is a OMCBA Mountian Cur. I raised her from a pup and she was a natural. The hunt that the picture was taken on this morning was on Pearl River. We killed 9, let 4 get away and treed a few den trees in about 2.5 hours. I have always loved squirrel hunting with a dog. It's the next best thing to coonhunting. Windy is a hard hunter and as long as the squirrels are there she will tree them all around you, but if you are hunting where the squirrels are scarce, you had better get ready to walk, because she is gonna go find one.

I'm with you on the squirrel dogs Mr. Jack. I like following a good one of any breed, but have a nice OMCBA dog myself. I like the looks of Windy.

Squirrel Hunting

Great picture Mr. Jack, wish I could have been with yaw. When we go back to MR. Ed's this fall you need to bring Windy. We could have some fun in those open woods in Illinois with her treeing those squirrel's.

Boy, you're talking my language with that squirrel dog! I've been reading your threads and you brought back a lot of old memories. I met Buddy Lisk in 1967 and started hunting with him. I started hunting dogs for Cap E.L. Burnthorne around 1968. A lot of those Tracy females were in our stock of dogs. When Mr. Williamson had old Ruby, I hunted with her. She was like the other females. I bought a bluetick female 2 years ago and she is really a good dog. The way I hunt up here in these hills in MO.is to road hunt. I hunt my feists and hunt my coondog at night the same way. Why don't you try to come up and go squirrel and coon hunting with me? Bring Tramp II with you he's a good looking dog. Danny Williams

Gr.Ch.Gr.Nite Ch."PR"Misty River Blue Sheba

Posted by Misty river on 02-22-2016 01:03 AM:

The Misty River Line

The female in the picture above is Dual Grand "PR" Misty River Blue Sheba. Sheba and Doll 1V are sisters. Sheba is a litter younger. We finished Sheba to Dual Grand last year. I had 2 nite Ch wins on her for several years and I had not put her in the hunts for quite a while and Chris Fortenberry started hunting with me and went to one night hunt with me and he asked me if he could get Sheba ready and put her in some hunts and see what he could do with her. I told him to get after it, so he hunted her pretty hard for about a month and put her in 3 nite hunts in 3 week ends in a row and and got 3 Nite Ch. wins to finish her to Dual Grand. Sheba looks almost just like her mother Doll 111. Sheba has been a good one with a good nose and a good mouth and a tree dog second to none. I bred Sheba one time to Bocephus and I have a female out of that cross that is real nice. She is about 18 months old now and needs no help anywhere. I'll tell her story next.
