mnb&t if you weigh the other heads and weigh ours there there is just a few ounces difference. To give our customers what they want, our head works. We have red and green LED's along with a laser. We have separate switches to control things and on the battery pack model we have a jack that plugs in, not a cord attached to the box. We don't feel giving up what we have for a smaller head would be in the best interest of the customers. Someday when the technology changes perhaps and that is a goal of ours.

Now to the upgrade question, that would depend on which HotSpot you have now. If you have the 3D and want the red and green module added along with Laser it would be $50.
If you have the Red and Green LED already and just want the Laser it would be $30.

Received mine today. Really quick shipping. Impressed with the brightness. But it's not nearly as yellow as I was hoping/expecting. I was expecting it to be about as yellow as my 21 volt 5100 head box light.

I've used evey light under the sun, 5100 and led. This hotspot is by the best light around. BARNONE. IF u can't find him he ain't there. One dog I'm hunting probly hates this light cause I've caught her lying more now!!!

Kyle the Hotspot saved my dogs from a serious problem last night.
Had two dogs treed solid after a hot race. We were looking up the tree and I was standing about 20 foot back next to a small tree. My buddy was on the other side and shined his light my way and told me to look straight up. There sat a POSSUM. We went back to searching the big oak they were treeing but I was mad. We finally found the coon in about five minutes and without the hotspot we probably would not have seen him. He never looked at any color led and the squaller could not make him move either. He was glued to the tree looking straight up.

I haven't had a chance to go out and hunt with mine. Had negative thirty degree wind chills. By end of week it'll be thirty above and I'll have a chance to take it out and hunt with it and see how it performs finding coon. I've just messed around with it in the yard. I like it so far. Just wish it was a more yellow in color like my 5100 was.

Corey said he shined the laser in a coins eye last night and it lit up like a light bulb.

Bruce- how water proof are these lights with the charging port in the open on the side? I hunt in the rain fairly often.

Posted by on 01-20-2015 04:22 PM:

They are waterproof. The pin in the charging well has a seal around it.

Boss 3D

Just got my light, how often should I charge it?

Thanks Todd

Posted by on 01-22-2015 02:07 PM:

.

I hunt about 4-5 hours a night and charge mine maybe every 3-4 days. The charger is automatic and you can plug it in after every hunt if you would like to. It will show red when charging and green when completed. The important thing is to only use the charger we send with the light. You ever loose it please contact us right away for another one.

Yes it is completely independent of the other LEDs. On and off by itself or other way around.

Kevin hope you had a safe trip home. I got in this morning about 4 am after my three days in South Ga. Guys told me to tell you they love your lights down there and to keep up the good work. They had them Lasers shining all over the building down there. I will talk to you later. You know them tight mouth dogs you keep telling me you like. One beat us like a drum last night. First time I ever saw Corey come back laughing about getting beat. He said that dog was unreal. lol
