Terry we hope the little Holstein makes her mark win or loose but preferably win. She has been looking really good, sending her across fields 300 to 400 yards and she has been hitting them a running, no looking back. Not sure what to really expect out of a total cast of pups as we never hunt but one most of the time, pick up to many bad habits but we will see. Two things we know, she will go hunting and when she trees they will know it and normally she is right!!

Terry we made three drops in 1 hour 45 minutes with Tide and Pain. First dump they got in there 1.2 miles along a fence row and rolled up treed and no track, you could here the little Holstein crystal clear at that distance, what I call a walker mouth, had one on the outside. Second dump they went the next road which is about 1 mile and never hit a track. Third dump they went about 800 yards and hit and ran one about 450 more yards and treed in the ground on a bank. Seen tracks everywhere so it must have been one of those nights.

Well Terry no cigar at the Baby Stakes tonight. Had second strike and first tree, missed it, a few trees over. Second turn out second strike and first tree again and coon was there but the judge thought she go off the tree to far! Two dogs kept going back to the tree and one stood in the road most of the night barking at me and the truck behind me with a lady in it, not sure what that was about! LOL! The gentleman from Ohio that went with Corey to the woods tonight took the Little Holstein back to Ohio with him. We wished him the best with her and believe it or not she is doing pretty darn good for a 9 month old pup, scores don't always tell the whole story! Off to Kansas Thursday to get back to our roots, getting another other Blue pup that is performanced and Super Staked. We will be back next fall if the Lord is willing!

Roy we will see you Thursday afternoon, hope Timmy can go for a short hunt as well. Be glade to get the Robin pup back home, nothing like getting a pup started! Be just the right age for the corn field chases and hitting the honey holes. Hope the rain holds off as I hate seeing Corey getting the hounds when it is raining! LOL!

8 months old is pretty young so if he is running and treeing that is great, even if he BUMPS a little! Keep him with the straight hounds and he will be fine! Pups as are just that, have it some nights and other nights look like pups! I do however like them to start young, but then again most Blue dogs do!

Sure enjoyed you guys being here. Wish you could have stayed longer and got to hunt anorher night or two. I think your Guage and Robin pup will be in good hands hunting her with Tide. He will make a coon dog out of her.
Corey got some pics of Tide and Robin with the meat. Hope he can get them posted. My computer is broke down and I can only post with my phone.
We hunted Robin, Deal my 8 month old pup and Tide. Robin and the pup treed slick on the 1st deal then sent th on and they all three treed a big den tree. Next dump Robin and Tide showed us how two Grand Nights are supposed to tree coon. The last dump they put one in a pond bank and I could see steam up in the hole but couldnt get down in the water far enough to see the coon.
You guys have a safe trip back home.

Roy, my father and I had a good time hunting with you last night. We appreciated the hospitality and have high hopes for the little female. Next time we will have to try to stay out there longer and hunt a few nights. We sure hope this little female turns out to be half the dog Robin is she will be a good one. Here is the pic of Robin and Riptide treed with the meat last night.

By the way Roy it didn't take her long to find the feeder when she got home. LOL

Boy Tide is feeling kind of lonesome. No pups right now to hunt with him. Trying to get him ready for Bluetick days, it is right around the corner. We got our rooms for all three nights booked and hope to have Tide ready as ready can be. Lots of solo time between now and the hunt. Hope to have some fun and some Bull S____ sessions over the three days!

Went for a short hunt last night. Made 2 dumps and made 2 trees 1 coon and 1 den tree and made short work of both tracks and called it a night.

Went for a short hunt tonight made 3 dumps treed 2 coons and 1 den tree. Not a bad night for a short hunt and we was back home in an hour and a half.

Terry he is a pretty nice hound. One thing I can say he is a pleasure to hunt and causes very little if any grief. As you know if they aggravate me they normally don't stick around very long. If I keep one for a year or longer they are normally a pretty good hound and won't junk and will have a handle on them. Life for me is getting too short to be aggravated and waste feed on something I don't like to hunt. I do know someone else kinda like that!!!!!

Took Riptide for a short hunt, we went to a few new spots we got over by Huffman mill on Anderson river. We mad 3 trees 1 coon 1 den tree and once in the ground. Its nice hunting on the river when you have a dog that handles.

Mark and Corey, Things have settled down for me and i am ready to make a few hunts and see the blueticks roll again. I noticed you were hunting on the anderson river. any time you need, I can put you in contact with numerous folks, as the wife and i have many family and friends who own property along its banks. take care and let me know.

Jerry that is even better! We just gained about 600 plus acres out that way that we can hunt and with this info. it gives us a lot of new ground to cover. You never get too much area to hunt and like hunting the rivers / creeks. Talk later and we will have to take a pleasure hunt, new pup to start anyhow!

Went for a short hunt tonight made first drop Riptide got in there 600 yards and treed walked in and had one looking down. Got back to the truck and the rain came in so we called it a night.
