I kept two pups out of Logan, just starting to take one at a time to the woods, I really like the male he is a big dark pup with a lot of brains, I will take some pictures and try to put them on here. Scott how is your pup out of Logan and susie doing?

Scott- I sold all of my young dogs and Hickory when Rick and I bought Banjo. She is close to me so I will be able to see how she progresses. We have had all kinds of weather here as of late so I doubt that she has been started yet but should be doing good by fall. I will keep you posted.
After I knew I had Cami bred to Logan I hoped to keep a female out of Logan but as long as they go to hunters I don't have a problem selling them. Luckily I had 4 nice females and a nice male out of the Logan and Cami cross. Keep up the good work with Hickory I know he is in the right hands and we already know he can reproduce. Should be a nice cross with Susie.

Hi Phil,
I did keep Tag here. She is able to be bred to Logan if she pans out. Logan is the oldest so I wanted to keep one for a cross if she makes a dog.
She acts really good and is an easy dog to like. Really like her breeding. Hope she pans out.

I took my Herbie female (Logan X Cami) to Salem NY event yesterday. She won Best of Show Female (even against the Champions) and she won the Field trial. In the field trial she had line and tree in all three heats plus the final. More to come.

Good Luck with your dogs in the hunts. Sounds like you have a plan. Nice to have a couple of females you can put in. Seems like when your on a roll with one they come in heat.

Herbie (Logan x Cami) finished to bench CH yesterday at Ft. Plain NY Club with another best of show female win. She finished to CH with three best of shows and one class/breed win.

Good Deal Hans. Post some pictures if you have some. I know she is one good looking female like her mama. Just Weaned the pups off of the Logan and Cami litter and the first ones are leaving this afternoon. Sure hope we got some more "Herbies" in that litter.

Logan x Belle male

Hey Scott and Rick, had a guy telling me at a hunt the other night that he had a good looking blue male that he had not hunted. He couldn't tell me what he was out of but had gotten him from James Chain. I went to look at him and he was a good looking rascal out of Logan x Belle. Only been hunted a few times. I got him now and will see if he can make it with a late start. I will keep you updated. I am putting Cotton in her first hunt on may 3rd in Hamilton. We have a mini- slam. Thanks. Darren

Logan Male

Good luck with him Darren. Picked up a nice all Smokey River Bred female. Goes back to Cheif 4 times close up. Took her and Banjo out for one quick drop. She had not been hunted in two years and she is 3. Took off on a dead run opened nice on track and slammed the tree with Banjo can't ask for much more than that I guess.

NiteCh GrCh Thunder Blue Cami

Finished Cami to NiteCh last night with a first place win at the BBCHA Sectional in Valders, Wi. Tough hunting both Friday and Saturday night with a full moon but got it done Saturday. Cami's wins so far are: a first place win, an overall win at a mini-slam an RQE 6th place and a World Hunt Zone Win on the Friday nite. Cami is a nice well balanced female that has raised three litters for me. Her last I just weaned last week out of GrNiteCh Ch Uchtman's Blue Logan.

Thanks Dan, George and Darren. I will be going to Holmesville. Not sure what I am going to be hunting yet but it will either be open, NiteCh, or GrNite. The dogs will make that decision in the next couple of weeks. THe two females will be coming in Heat soon. So I may be hunting Banjo. Same thing happend last year when Cami and Heather came in so I took Annie just for the heck of it. She had not been hunted since March but I wanted to take something. We will see what happens.

Cami has been one solid dog here for years. She hunts hard alone or in company. No chewing or Jacking on the tree and is as level headed at home as you can find. But when the box is in the truck she is ready to go. She has been hunted from Arkansas to Wisconsin and has always been a pleasure to hunt. She would have been a NiteCh years ago had I pushed her, but I wanted pups off of her and Logan as they are alot alike in many ways. I was going to breed her to Banjo a couple of Winters ago when she was down by Jeff Maggies in Arkansas but she did not come in heat while she was down there. Now Banjo is here and that cross will be made next year.
Looks like I will not be hunting open in Holmesville as Dazze just came in heat today. If Heather comes in as she is due I will not be hunting NiteCh either.

Cotton-Darren Hollis

Congratulations to Darren Hollis in Alabama for winning a mini-slam last night with Cotton and putting a first place win on her. She is out of one of the Logan and Belle crosses. I think this was her first UKC hunt?
Lots of nice pups out there out of Logan and different females. Logans breeding has been limited to mostly Uchtman and Rambo bred females with good results. Some have had a little Smokey River and that surely has not hurt.
Thanks to those that have used him on your good females and keep those pups in the woods.
