The Smoke X Robin pups are looking good. Here's the two males that I'll be finding new homes for soon.

If they turn out anything like the Smoke X Sandy, Smoke X Mercy, and Gambler X Venom litters, which they are bred very similar to, they should be just as nice as any of the young dogs we are hunting right now.

We were out looking for a bear for my wife to shoot today and found these tracks walking up the road. I don't think we want to find this one though.

Couple of the guys hunting in the southern panhandle claim there is one around Clarkia with a track that size. I hope I don't run into him.

It looks like I've found a new home for him if I can get the airlines lined up to get him there. I'm hoping to have another litter sometime this winter or early next spring.

I just talked to Brian tonight. He got back from his bear hunt. Maybe he will get some pics posted for us in the next couple days.

I got to play cowboy today. My dad killed an elk so we rode our hunting partners horses in to pack it out. It's been a long time since I've been on a horse, but it sure beat walking in and packing it out on our backs like we usually do.

My dad with the elk loaded and ready to head out.

We still have another month of trashing out before cat season starts. I went up in the high country looking for a mule deer the other day. It was a pretty nice day until I got on top and an ugly wet snowstorm came in and made the walk back down a little unpleasant. Thought you might enjoy the scenery so here's a couple pics.

I found where a wolverine had walked up the trail a ways and dug a hole, I assume trying to get a ground squirrel. I think this is only the second time I've seen wolverine tracks here.
