Thanks Perry,it's good to hear from you.I'm still hoping to get out to the PKC World Hunt this fall so I'll look you up and you can buy my lunch one day.LOL.Not going to get to hunt this year but planning on making the trip to visit some.By then,I'm sure I will be ready to get out of here for a couple days....I've been going crazy already.

Woke up this morning,went to visit for a little bit and got some paperwork done and just a few odds and ins that needed to be taken care of before surgery tomorrow.I'm all ready,not looking foward to it,but ready to get it over with and the phone rings a little bit ago,reschedule in 2 weeks.Having problems getting some of the specialty tools in to do the procedure.I am so sick of all of this I could shoot someone.

I wish these doctors would figure it out........Coon season is coming and I need fixed.LOL.

Image had his last go round for a while last night.Surgery in the morning on the knee and a little lay-up for some time with the dogs.Was wanting to get the last win on Baby Six to finish her to a NITECH before I bred her but wasn't able to because of this knee.

She isn't in yet,but I'm sure she will be in heat before I'm up and going again and I'm planning on making the trip to Wisconsin her next cycle if I'm able to.I have been in contact with Mr.Dennis Upson,we had a very good conversation over the phone,and both feel that crossing her on his Little Blue hound just might produce some nice pups.Little blue is an outstanding bear dog and produces the mouth,nose,track speed and the drive that I'm looking for.He is also a full brother to Image's momma,which was the best cross on Legend in my opinion.Little Blue has never led the Purina race,but he is known for leading the bear races up there.LOL.I love a good track dog and I'm pretty excited about seeing this cross happen.

UPDATE ON TOM,

I talked to Tom tonight he is home he was in surgery for 4.5 hours.I wanted to let everone know he made it through it and they had a few complications but worked them out.Tom was under medication and was acting his self. Tommorow i m sure the pain medication will ware off and he`ll be in a bunch of pain.

I was with Tom when this happened and knew it wasnt good.Hopefully in a few months he`ll be back out and running hounds with us.

Get well Jennings and take it easy on your knee for a few weeks.

I just talked to Tom he wanted me to Thank You for all the Prayers and the pm`s. He is doing Awesome and says not much swelling or pain.Tom is doing better than he and April was expecting.
Good to hear this coming from my hunting partner.

He wanted me to tell everybody to get ready he will be back !!!

Thanks to everyone who has posted,called,and PMed me.Everything went well and the knee seems to be doing fine,actually,it's been better than I was expecting it to be.It's not been as sore as I thought it would be.I am able to straighten it out completely and can bend it approx 90 degrees right now.Still doing the crutches thing for a few weeks probably.Gotta go back to see the doctor this week and start therapy shortly.Will keep in touch and I hope to see everyone as I'm WALKING through the crowds at Autumn Oaks next month(that's the goal).Thanks again everyone.

Hey there Tom, you had to go & mention a Walleye dinner didn't you? You make it rough on an old bald headed fat man. I need to try & make it up there to take in the festivities! LOL In the meantime I'll work on getting ole Monkey dialed in a little bit. Turned that crazy little huzzy loose last night & 8 tenths of a mile later darned if I didn't have to walk a little & do the drive around thing. Vic,I told you to plan on coming.We really had a good time last year and Eddie Harp is a glutton for punishment cause he's coming back for round two.I don't think I've ever laughed so hard in my life as when Kevin Weller was giving Eddie such a hard time.Poor Larry didn't know what to think.LOL.I'm looking foward to it for sure.It was definately one that I will remember forever.

lol sounds good! tell Sparky i don't know if i can hang with staying up till 5 am every night again and still hunt AO. lots of fun though. Tell Kevin i grew about 6 inches taller and gained 100 lbs lol. that should crack him up.

I have had very little swelling,not to sore,and going good so far is the report on the knee.Glad I had it done and recovery is going great so far.Back to the Dr's office tomorrow for my first checkup and to schedule my start in theropy.Just thought I'd touch base and let everyone know.It's doing awesome and I hope to be shucking the crutches shortly.Trying not to get to excited to quick but all is going VERY well so far.

Thanks again to all for the prayers,phone calls and PM's.Just wanted to let everyone know that it is doing great so far.

Baby Six and Image are getting a little restless out back but both are doing fine,laying around and getting fat like there owner.LOL.If all goes well,I have had a few buddies offer to go get them for me and we might get out of here for a drop or two next week to knock the edge off of the three of us.They could both use the exercise and I could use some seat time in the truck just to get out.I'm definately looking foward to it.

My buddies came and got me and took me hunting last night.Thanks Matt Turner and Tedd Larger for picking me up and babysitting me for a while.Tedd didn't even bring a dog,he handled Image since I couldn't go get him.True friends are rare now a days but these two are two of the best.Thanks again guys for picking me up and getting me out of the house and for hunting Image for me.Sitting at the truck is hard for me to do,but it's way better than laying around on the couch.LOL.We had a good hunt,coon seemed to be moving well after the storm came through.Image took matt and Tedd of a couple hikes through younder but overall him and Kid both looked pretty good and we treed some coon.

The "WOOD MONSTER"

Looking back through my thread and found this picture of Baby Six taken by my old buddy Ed Kielman when him and Colt were over this spring pleasure hunting the weekend before he passed.Ed was a great father,hard hunter,and a true friend.He's been on my mind here lately and when I seen this picture it brought back memories of a great weekend that I spent with him and Colt.It was the last time I seen Ed but I will remember him forever.Rest in peace ole buddy,I miss ya...

Baby Six got to stretch her legs for a few drops last night.Thanks again Matt Turner and we'll see ya tonight.

Knee is doing great so far guys.Still pretty stiff but I am up on it and walking/hobbling some.I did manage to drive within 110 yards of Baby Six's tree last night and couldn't help it,I had to go and see for myself.LOL.That was enough for this fat fella but I was close and just couldn't resist.

Looking foward to seeing everyone at Autumn Oaks in a few weeks.I'm hoping to be up and going some by then for some pleasure hunting on Thursday night.See you all in a few weeks.
