Roger,he's likin it purty good actually. On the nice & sunny day's which have been far & few in between he is seen frequently 'rastlin with the pack under the big Cottonwood.

He even kinda like's "Ol Yeller" purty good as I do !

"Patch" might get entered up in his first hunt in the very near future with my son Daniel at the leather end of the lead, Be both of 'ums first time.

They both been practicin a fair amount. That next generation thing for us.

Daniel and Patch and Matt and Bum. That should make for a little family fun in the holler this year. See who can Grand out first, just a little family competition. It don't get any better that that. You have to be just busting with pride.

Wish both of them the best for me.

Roger

Ch.Russ' Treein Blue "Bow"

Won a first in his first hunt & died young. He was a younger brother to my GrNtChGrCh Russ' Treein Blue "Zip" who where outa GrNtChGrCh Russ' Treein Blue "Lumber" & our GrNtChGrCh Twin Lake's Blue "Dottie". Both being directly outa "Toad".

He was a nice all around young hound that left me to early.

Glad that you and boys could make it down. Patch and the little Red Lady looked really good getting their wins. I know what you mean about heading for home with the wind and snow blowing 'side ways'. Glad you had a safe trip. Take care, Ron.

That finished "Patch" to a standin purty champeeen with his third best of show. First one at the Zone III event last summer along with "King of show". Second one at the winter "Wisc. State Championship" where he also won King. Now this one at the "Cornbelt Championship" Where he won the overall just nudgin out his house mate the lil Reddawg!!

I let Matt do the handling duties with him this weekend as well & they did a great job as a team. Not so bad gettin beat by your son & "OUR" dog the way I see it !

Dan hunted "Patch" in his/their first hunt. He treed one alone that he got to score on.Rest of the cast was out & they decided to call time out on him without seemingly allowing him the chance to voice an opinion while he was trailin off. I think that was where he crossed the Wapsi & treed another alone.

He had a good time, drew some nice guy's,learned a lil & now fully realize's that the bussiness end of his leash is fully capable. The "Tail of the hunt" on the way home was priceless stuff !!

Matt & the "Bum" had their third consecutive cast win as well just not enough to edge out Ron & "Sadie". He power slammed a layup rite outa the gait & the other three split fairly close with an empty. Undefeated so far in the CW department this spring.

Like we all say,all you can do is win your cast & they been doin that. "Bum" has scored on coon alone in every hunt so far this spring. His ancestor's back as far as I can remember would be proud of him & "Patch" for upholding the family tradition's..

Ron,thank's & glad you made it home safe as well. The lil Reddawg caused quite a stir post purty party. Several told me that they woulda picked her but when they rode down in the box together clean & shiny, then home wet & muddy together, then eatin side by side in the cave it really didn't matter either way to us.

Roger, the fun for "Patch" & Dan is just begining I got a feeling ?

Without him tearin his face Roger...LOL!! He's been a huntin him rite along by himself. Last night he said he had the longest hike to the biggest den tree in the whole state as far as he was concerned!

BCD, we are deffinately havin fun together & not afraid to tell ya it make's me smile a bit as well!!

Tom,nice gobbler dude ! Got a couple of them roaster fillin tag's ourselve's to work on in the near future with a lil luck.

Did I tell ya 'bout my newest pupil's,"Bum's Treein Blue Fancy" ? They've alway's earned their name here & the first that "Fancy" ever popped in my head as a permament name. Can't wait for her to hit that 6 month old range.

Then there is her brother "Coop", sister's "Bell" & "Giff"........................... They are heavily terrorizing the holler as I type. Had'um treein on the remain's of a coon yesterday that had gottin drug in here. Very pleased with their progression, personality & eagerness to explore. When I step out of the cave & all four welcome me with them low moan's & howl's as if to say,"Mornin TT", I can't help but grin!
