Blue II

I made this cross the day I bought Braggs Miss America II. There were only three pups in the litter and all were males. Blue II, Mountain State Rebel and Mar Mack Blue Bill. All three were above average cooners. Blue II and Rebel were just as good in the stud pen. You can see Rebel and Blue II all through my pedigrees today.

Did you know that I was friends with Metro Wossilek. I sold him the Braggs Blue Drum dog. Drum was out of WV Blue IV X Braggs Miss America.... He was here several times....

you are welcome....

yes

Ken I knew you and Metro were friends.... He liked bear hunting in WV.... That dog of Nathan's is nice and bred the best... Season went out up here Sat. Put 1 down.. Made 46 in his teeth... lots more than that treed. Not bad for a dog one week shy of 23 mo. old...

That is a good pup you have there. There are good ones in all lines. I am glad he is working out.

Posted by Kenbev on 02-23-2009 12:36 PM:

Devin

That is probably more of a blanket back. Covers more that a saddle would.....

I

ordered a 6 gen pedigree on this dog. His momma is old blooded up close back to Herb Swerigens old stock.. He is heavy on the Diamond Dandy x Fly cross also with Bullet II as his grand sire.. He is gonna be special from all early indicators..

This dog was full of natural ability. He ran and treed alone at a very early age... This picture is when he was about 18 months old.

Ken

I see your working your way thru the Blue Dog Blue studs.... YOUR #6 WAS THE ABSOLUTE BEST BRED BUGGER YOU EVER OWNED... Wish he could have sired more pups.. Shame what happened to him... This is just my humble opinion now... HE WAS YOUR BEST IN MY EYES !!!! lol

Best

I have never decided which was the best... Blue VI never had the chance to sire many pups like some of the others had. He only sired two litters... The III dog was something special both in the woods and in the stud pen.....

I did get Stone County Star bred to River Runnin Blue Moon .The litter is pretty much booked. They should be some good triple Roger's Little Mack bred pups. I really think they will make some very special coon hounds.

Posted by Pine Log Kennel on 02-26-2009 12:31 AM:

They should definitely be treedogs. Good luck with them.

That is some good blood. They should make good ones....

Vaughns Fanciers

This has been an interesting thread. There are alot of people out there that still hunt and breed the Vaughn dogs. Several have went in different ways with their breeding programs. This thread is 8 pages long, 198 posts, and with 27 different people posting their thought and dogs... I started it just to see where you fellows were and what dogs you owned. It has been a success and I hope it doesn't end any time soon. There are alot more of the Vaughn Blood Fanciers out there.....
