David Morgan......

I have never seen one this dark either, my dad had a female direct off Preacher in early 80's, she was dark...but not this dark. But, if the papers are correct on these litter-mates, they show alot of Lipper blood and alot of that will throw dark pups...........I dont know if these are true Walkers or not, but would like to know. Thanks

Is there any possibility of seeing pics of the sire and dam of these dogs? It would be of interest let both myself and John see them.

Preacher dogs

Hey John, The dog that "Knox" has posted is a better looking dog than the picture shows. I bought two of these pups from a gentleman in Ga., when they were 11 weeks old. The female pup was Preacher colored also but had the bright red trim. I sold her to a guy in Ohio. The male in the picture that "Knox" posted is the one I sold Don Agee. He is dark. I think he gets the black head and darker body from the Cade dog which is his grandsire on the bottom side. The sire of these pups looks alot like ole "Preacher". The one GNEAL has is also a littermate. These pups are heavy House bred but I am sure they have "Preacher" somewhere in their background. Thanx, Jeff

Ole Tanner actually lived here in Michigan for awhile. Chuck Majors promoted Tanner dogs in water races and field trials back in the early or mid80s.

I had a male here at the house for 3 or 4 years that was a nice hound. The dog had a behavioral problem his owner couldn't control and he gave the dog to me without signing his papers. I was able to control the problem, and I ended up selling him to a young fella in Massachusetts as a grade dog.

I don't know when John will have time to be back on so I will answer your ? No Hustling Billy was not out of Preacher. He was bred and raised not far from me in East Texas by a Mr. Chick Carlton and if I remember correctly he owned both sire and dam. He produced some real hard going dogs with good mouths.
