HOWDY!

Hi everyone!
Had some rain today... LIKE IN BUCKETS that is! lol... I had just planted the geraniums yesterday and the rain took em right out of the pot! Luckily I went out to check after some wild wind and torrential rain... had some rumbles of thunder too. Nothing much at all really... but the hardest rain I'd seen in years. I know some people are having flash floods and send prayers for them AS WELL AS ALL OF YOU GUYS!

I got a bit of a nap in today..but my stupid long hair was stuck under my back... akward but I was lazy and didn't move... so... about 10-15 minutes later I woke up.. hair wrapped around my neck.. from a nightmare! lol.. someone was chasing me and must have caught me by the hair and was choking me! LOL... WHen I stood my hair was DRENCHED.... Literally dripping onto the floor... LOL... Turned the AC on so it would cool before Bob got home and went up for a cool sponge bath! I have to admit that was the first time my HAIR caught me and tried to kill me. Bob CRACKED up when he got home and I told him....lol... It did get hot and humid before the rain...
Other than that excitement.. nothing new here!
Have a Great night all! HappyHunting, HEather

YES! It is so refreshing!! I also really LOVE a sun warm tomato, almost as much as the warm blackraspberries... We have gotten some good zuccinis too BTW...as for the beans we kinda forgot all about them... they are big tuff old things I wouldn't know how to cook! lol.... We had such HEAT I was stuck inside... and Bob was so busy he forgot all about garden. I had TOTALLY forgotten to water the roses we had transplanted...if they live they'll be hardy ones! SIGH....

Bond, those turtles are HUGE! I recall turtle soup back in the days we spent summers in the FL Keys.... I think I liked it?
I'm up cause the comp. was feeling ill...and I had to do some stuff to fix it..and now the BREEZE is bllowing thru the window to the front door...right past me...and it's cool and feels ALOT like a summer night in the Keys... with the wind off the Gulf... I don't want to go up to bed where there is only one window! IT IS GORGEOUS!!! I LIVE for this kind of weather!! PERFECT! If it goes down to 59 U;kk get chilled and RUN up to bed...lol...
Have a GREAT ONE! Heather

Afternoon everyone.
Corky
Wow, that's a lot of copperheads. Gives me the creeps. Picked my two ripe maters today. Had a toasted mater sandwich. A little butter, salt, pepper, and sharp cheese. Also mayo. My favorite.
Vabluegal
They were big coppers. I would rather deal with rattlers. But prefer none.

Prayers sent.

Gotta go putting venison tenderloin on grill.

Another nice day today. Sunny and low 70's.

I spent all day in an OSHA Compliance class

Corky - that is a lot of snakes. I sure am glad we don't have those poisonous snakes.

Wendell - those are some nice turtles. I love catching them. I don't make soup out of em, I BBQ em.

I am glad everyone is getting goodies out of the gardens. It is still a week or two away but I am ready for some fresh sweet corn.

Rob - glad the knee is getting better.

Have a great evening everyone.

Hi to ALL!

PRAYERS for ALL!
Good evening! Another COOL ON HERE with a gorgeous breeze! High in Boston for my good eye Dr Appt was 68, window open on the ride home...till the RAIN.. And it was 62 here in Wrentham...lol.. Poor Bob had a cold wet ride home but he was still smiling.... he loves my FatBoy! Not sure what the low will be tonight...bet I'll have to shut the window and front door though before bed. I never did go up last night...lol... More rain due tomorrow....
Bob had to go out in the rain to cut basil... it was gonna go to seed soon... house smelled delicious! YUM... The tomatoes are OK... not our best year.... Up and down and wet and dry.... poor plants and animals!
Saw a dead raccoon on the way home from Boston... it's an area I always think there should be coon. Swamp, pond etc... near a school and industrial and retail places... and the winding road... SIGH... SO little land left....
Snakes... OK... the copperheads creep me out completely. Water mocs, ANY water snake... THEY would freak me out but PRETTY colored and non venemous snakes are cool. As long as I had help if one started to constrict me... I'd hold just about any tame one.... I Love how the skin feels. I would NOT keep one as a pet... no interest...I'll keep my hounds. Speaking of hounds... my old greyhound TopGun could track a snake for miles! It was the only prey he put his nose to the ground for! He LOVED tracking them...lol...
Have a great one all, HappyHunting, Heather

Heck of a hunt. Now let's have the rest of the story. LOL. Why I like stay to myself more and more.
John
I think my hunt would have been a short one also.
Shawn
Come on up. I had t-loin in marrinade, then put on grill and sprinkled with pepper. Baked taters. Now I think I am about out of deer. I only shot two small bucks last year. May have to bow hunt some when season comes in.
