It was nasty for a couple of days. It rained a little yesterday so it's cooler today and breezy.

yep, its going to get hot here again by the end of the week,i got to mow around the pond today....didnt get it done yesterday....

got a little rain last night .we sure needed it..its been hot.i got a buddy thats in veagas this week trying to break the bank at the casinos.he said earlier in the week it got to 108 degrees... yesterday it was only 104..guess i shouldnt complain about it be in the 90's...

Hope your buddy does well in Vegas, that's on my bucket list. It's been pretty nice here the last few days. I had a yard sale on Friday and Saturday. Advertised the boat 😉 Chuck sold it. He said my horse trailers are next 😀.
Hope yinz have a Happy 4th of July!! I think we're going to a local Fair.

dont know how my buddy is doing aint heard from him in a few days but my loving woman is on a hot streak..$1175 at bingo last night..

What do yinz know about electric bikes? I told Chuck since he sold the boat, I think he should get one. He can swim, but with the torn tendon in his foot, he can't walk too far. I think he'd get more use out of one.

i got a buddy who has a electric bike ,he loves the thing ,got 3 inches of rain over the last three days,we sure needed it....

Hot here, too. It finally rained today, but probably not enough to do much. We'll be lucky to get any 2nd crop.
Did you eat the turtle? I tried it once. A guy I use to work with brought some in for us to try.

have not ate the turtle yet .got him in a live tank .i been changing the water on him every 3 days when he cleans out it will be turtle gumbo for him..we went from hot to a flood watch for this week , much cooler now.got sweet corn coming on so we will be putting up corn soon,got green beans by the bushels ....wonder where HB is aint seen him on here in awhile....

I've seen a few things on FB from HB, but not much. This heat makes my Parkinson's worse, maybe it does the same to him.
We had severe T-storms warnings last night. It was windy....on the news they said a tree fell over on a trailer about 30 miles from here and killed someone. About 20 miles the other way, they thought someone saw funnel clouds. The wind blew down a lot of apples so the deer aren't complaining and we got 1.7" of rain so that's making everyone a little happier.

We lost last week when we went to the casino.
Some places are getting some storms around here. Chuck said we got a nice rain this AM. I've been in the hospital since Thursday. Went to my PCP to get my wrist checked out. I thought it was infected...it was. Have been in here getting IV antibiotic. Slowly getting better, hope to go home Monday.

i wish i was half as lucky as she is,id be happy,Ridge i hope your wrist heals up quick for you...we are putting up beans today...

glad to hear your getting out Ridge...my sister was in the hospital for 3 days last week with a ulcer .she was going home to rest,i told a hospital was the worst place in the world to get any rest,she agreed.i could tell she was worn out....

They're definitely not the best place to be. When I was getting discharged the nurse told me the had Covid on the same floor so if I got sick to call my Doctor.

HB commented on one of my FB posts. I asked why he hasn't been on here. He replied that his computer is down and he doesn't know how to get this on his phone.

Do you freeze or can your grn beans? When we had a garden, I froze everything.

we canned for years and years,then i got a vacuum sealer,no washing jars,no presser cooker,smaller packages that are easier to store..with green beans just wash and seal,corn you still have to blanch for 10 min.s...

Yep, I love frozen corn, I think canned green beans taste better, but we froze ours. Freezing is great until your freezer goes on the blink, but if we still had a garden, I'd be freezing. Someone posted sweet corn is $7/dozen here!!! Guess we'll be doing without this yr unless the Amish have it a lot cheaper.
