My God son was NOT there but his sister was. Her hotel is one block from the blasts...I hear she was a wreck but fine physically. Her dad, my former bro. in law, Rick was at bank nearby and was going to buzz down to the finish to catch a few runners and say hi to his daughter...but the subway station was TOO CROWDED so he didn't go there... He was able to find his daughter and all was well...
I tried not to watch any news today... I needed a rest from it all....

... Shannon, Glad your son did well and hope tonight too. I first read your post as if he was at back and struck out and had a moment of sadness before I realized it was GOOD! lol!

And... Still no baby yet! lol... Labor still on hold and all is fine... she has plenty of time left before being late. If Hannah is born tomorrow... she will share our youngest son Dylans Bday. He turns 20 tomorrow... Poor thing... imagine sharing with a cute lil baby gal!

Today I was looking for some perspective on the Boston Bombs... so I went online to look at distances. My mums house is approx a mile and a half walking... 2 miles by car because of Bostons rds....from where they went off. The hotel Cass was working in is just over a thousand feet or so away.... To think so much death, injury and destruction can happen so close to areas unharmed... is so strange. God works in mysterious ways...... there is a reason for every good and bad thing that happens.....
I pray that we eventually find a bigger world Peace... that humans can learn to love one another despite their differences...
That said... Go Bruins! I am watching a hockey game... but I really do wish my dreams would come true.......
