Glad to hear your about ready to hit the woods. Sounds like you have a kennel full of young prospects to work on this winter. Congrats on Smoke making reproducers list & am sure there will be more good ones coming up soon to help him stay there for years to come. Take care, Ron.

Roy I had Corey take Robin to the vet today and get her checked out and the vet said everything looked good. He did a ultra sound and said the looked big and healthy and that there were several. Corey weighed her at the vet and she weight 61 lbs and getting bigger! Robin should have them Dec. 23 to 25th. Will keep you updated!

Roy I beleive Robin is just about ready to bust, big as a barrel and starting kick stuff everywhere. Robin should have them Friday / Sunday. Still eatting like a horse, the wife has her spoiled I think! We will keep you posted!

Roy Ol Robin has started having the pups. Checked twice this morning and knew she was ready. Just checked and she has had one and a big one. She was working on another so we got away from as she seemed to be doing O.K.. We will let you know how many she ends up with.

Roy here are a couple pictures of the two males we are keeping out of Robin and Riptide, not the best pictures but will work for now. They are eating dry dog food and moist food as well, eating machines! Corey thought I did name my pick right, Mad Max as he is a little steam winder with a big personality and reminds me of Doc when he was that age. Both pups have real nice heads on them. Pups were born on Christmas Day so they should be something special! LOL!

We've been hunting quite a bit this February treeing several Coon. Wendell is getting hunted by himself and progressing every night.!

Lots of nice dogs out of mad dog blood. I am curious as to the most successful litter. Live in South Carolina and have tried to follow this line. Take care.

If Tim Vaughn was still with us he could awnser your question better than me. I can tell you about the recent crosses. Smoke was out of a litter with 2 grnites 1 ntch and a male with a first that got ran over.

These are some recent ones off the top of my head

Dad and I are trying to select dogs on these traits
1. Natural Tree dogs
2. Hard hunting dogs that get down the holler fast and deep
3. Good Loud mouths

i have a young female here in michigan out of this cross and she is really starting to crank it up. she is a tree dog with all the juice you ever want a dog to have. very happy with her planning on putting her in some of the bigger hunts this year.
