Misty River Blue Ruby

Had Ruby out again last night. 1st drop she hit a real rough track, Tried her best to work it out. She finally gave up on it and we moved down closer to the river. She hit another cold track, but moved it out She bumped a tree in close to a slough a couple of times and moved on. She crossed the slough that she was on and started up another branch on the other side and locked up treed about 300 yards from where I was. I got on the 4-wheeler and went around on another road to within about 75 yards from where she was treed. I walked on into her and she was treed up a vine going up into a den tree. I looked it over good to make sure he was not on the out side. I petted her up good for she had done a good job.

I don't know what would be tougher coon hunting around hogs or in all that mud LOL!

Thank you Daryl for the compliments on the pups and glad you enjoy the posts. in this part of the country we have plenty of both, hogs and mud. Those pointed stumps that you see are Cyprus knees. We have plenty of those to in and around all these sloughs where the Cyprus trees grow, and should you trip on one and fall on another one, it could really mess you up. Mother and daughter treed tonight on Leaf River.





Ruby splitting off from mom tonight and doing her own thing and had the coon.

Treed on a long running on Tallahalla Creek with Joey Walters, Tad Walters And Tate Walters.

Squirrel hunt With Windy and Otis

Squirrels were not sterring to well today, but the dogs did a good job and we had a good time. Those squirrels will make some good Gumbo.

Squirrel Hunt

2-8-21 We had a good hunt today with Tom Smith, Terrell Smith, Danny Lee Cliburn and Mr. Jimmy Tyrone. We had our dogs Windy, Danny Lee's 4 dogs and Toms 2 dogs. I think about 4 of these were just pups, but they are learning. We got 11 squirrels left 5 hanging and several in holes. We had a good time.
