Hunted Bohannon long and hard last night. He made some mistakes, but he gutted it out and ended up treeing 3 coons. He had to put his head down and grind out some bad old tracks too. I’m liking him more and more.

My wife and I had a baby girl to start the year off, so needless to say I didn’t hunt much in January. I got Jeb back in the woods a few times last week to knock a little weight off of him.

Got a solid cast win at the PKC winter classic last night. He looked good Thursday night but no luck. He still always keeps us in it until that last second is gone off the clock!!

Guys these are two big dogs who are over 6 ft tall when they stretch out. That means they got treed while swimming.
You better believe me when I tell you John has a kennel full of coon assassin's. A coon can't go far enough or pull enough tricks to fool these two.

Finally got some time to put Bohannon in the woods a little over the last month or so. Took him to a hunt last weekend and won our cast with 300+. He treed one by himself in the first 10 minutes, then we cruised the rest of the hunt.

What I know about him for sure is that he is independent, action-packed, and will not leave a tree unless a tornado carries him off!!

Bohannon keeps on getting better. He has turned into a tracking machine. He is turning into one of those dogs that I expect to look at coon every drop.

A cottonmouth got him in the foot last night, but he was so focused on his tree that he didn’t pay any attention to it until after I pulled him off the tree. I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing haha

Boys this is one bad news coondog. Gun barrel straight, opens clean and honest, loud bawl mouth,big dying locate, and will have the coon. His nose is the best I've ever seen on a coonhound.
I own my own stud dog who I'm proud of, but Jeb is without a doubt as perfect as a coondog gets to be.
He's a proven reproducer. Some buddies of mine just bred an all grand bred Gyp who's heavy Rat bred to Jeb. She is the mother of the 8 mo old cast winner at Winter Classic two years ago. So yea she's a reproducer.
They will be posting an ad in a couple months when pups are born.
You boys who want nose and tracking ability and not sacrifice tree power need to call John and head to Miss.
John's got a son of Jeb that's two who I plan on breeding my Box Gyp to this spring. He's a bad hombre himself. You better bring some dog power if you hunt against Jeb, his son, or Jebs dual grand sister. They will make you check your oil.

my female is out of double xl which is out of abbotts bawling rebel and slushers screamin kate and kate is out of wld ch x jr and iron creepy kate which is out of nocturnal skipper and hardies bigtime trixie and my females mother is longs grntch 3 blankk domino and she is out of insane x and ch grntch frostbite which is out of trackman and browns haley so she is doubled up on xjr and tripled up on nocturnal skipper im thinking jeb would be a good cross

Hey guys, sorry, I haven’t been on here in a while.

I started back hunting Jeb pretty hard at the beginning of the year to get him back in shape to hit the hunts pretty hard.

I’ve had him in 4 casts in the last few weeks, he’s only taken minus one time, and that was due to my poor handling skills haha

We finished in the final 4 at the PKC winter classic this past Saturday night. We had 400+ in a 1hr UKC winter classic warm-up slam hunt, but finished one spot outside of final 4.

Headed to Adamsville TN this weekend to try our luck in a PKC pro hunt.

Had a heck of a hunt last night with Jeb and Bohannon. They treed 7 singles in 2 hours last night. Split every tree. Talk about a fun night!
