Pups

I see one in the back deep and alone!

Posted by Casey Bigelow on 12-21-2015 01:27 AM:

DEEP AND ALONE- HAHAHA looks like the pup is fixing to fire up on that broom "tree"... Coon musta crossed out, cause I bet the broom handle is slick!!! HAHAH

Mr. Glista, thanks for the updates. Really excited to get mine in the woods.

I can't remember the last time I raised a litter of pups.. been 10-15 years ago, because I'm not going to breed a So/So female, and the good ones are like hen's teeth...I think the last litter I had was a direct daughter of Rambo II, she was bred to Uchtman's Hornet...

BUT... If all goes as planned some pups will hit the ground in about 63 days out of Layla and Zer0. They bred and tied up today for 15 minutes. Layla is a GRNTCH out of Hillbilly. The reproducers list is full of Hillbilly females that are reproducing. Layla is 8 years old and is one of the youngest out of hillbilly (DOB 7/28/07).

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Merry Christmas to you and your Family Casey! Hope yaw have a Great One! Pebbles turned 5 months old yesterday so it won't be long now until I show her why she's here. Good Looking Gyp with a whale of a mouth on her. It will hurt your ears if your close when she bawls. I let her run loose when I'm around the house and the past couple weeks I've seen her checking trees that the squirrels go up and down. She's starting to loose interest in playing in the yard and is starting to hit the woods checking them out. All the signs that point to " About ready to Start ". Take Care and Good Hunting!

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE

Steve. If nothing else those pups have mouths!!! Haha
As far as learning, Zero was the "steady type hound". He learned something and got better every time I took him, which is what I prefer over a quick bang and fizzle out or go backwards type. He never had any trouble on the tree, was a natural tree dog.

Zero X Alice pups

Casey, here's a short video of the pups I took this morning when I went out to worm them again. They sure are some nice acting pups for just turning 6 weeks old. They're enjoying the big pup pen and seem to be adjusting to thier new living area just fine. Can't wait till spring to get here! Later,Danny G.

Man o man.... those rascals are getting big quick. That black muzzled one may make a tree dog!

A buddy of mine from Alabama had some in-laws from Georgia in town last night that had never been coonhunting that wanted to go. I have only hunted Zero and Ponch together a handful of times, I usually take one or the other, as I like a one dog performance. Last night I took them both....

They put on a show! coon after coon after coon.. At one tree, a flashlight came through the woods, it was a guy from the next section that heard the dogs. He ended up hunting with us the rest of the night.

GOOD TIMES!!!

My buddy from Alabama has one of the Zero x Fannie pups, I haven't seen the male pup since he got him.. That little booger has a horn on him. I guess they are 3-4 months old.

Winner winner

Congrats again on the win Casey. Enjoyed hearing from ya the other night. Continue putting those hounds of yours in the big hunts. I'm glad to see a blue dog win some on the larger platform.

Posted by Casey Bigelow on 01-27-2016 12:51 AM:

Thanks guys. Had a good hunt. He won by being alone under coon. Even a handler as bad as I am can't mess that up..
Zero is up to $2000 won as a three year old. He'll be 4 y/o shortly. I'm gonna try to post a pic...

And Steve.. you are welcome anytime.. bet zero n Bo would make the coon climb. I'd like to hunt in your neck of the woods as well. Zero n Bo are half brothers, right? Zero hunts with his head up.... He's not looking for the coon that walked yesterday....

Congrats

Congrats on your final four with Zero. Keep going to those big hunts so I don't have to hunt against him at these smaller hunts. What hunt was this? The Dellwood 5000?

Thanks Ray.. He's a decent young hound

Brian- HAHAHAHAH That's pretty good, but with my bank roll it would have to be the "Dellwood $50 added"... Or Maybe the "Twoegg $200".

Me n Sterertt n Lyle rode over to Jesup, Ga Wayne County Coon Jam ... Was 6K added (2K a night)... didn't get there till Fri.

Fri night zero treed a quick one out of the gate.. Then hunted past hounds that were treed, treeing 400 yards deeper.. he was alone, but was den.

Then a dog was treed solo at 700 yds, recut Zero off den, he went opposite direction of treed dog, treed him at 1200yds n he had to wait unhandled 25 min for us to go score other dogs tree... no biggie. Had coon.. Was good for $730

Hunted Sat night is a howling wind... dogs in all 4 directions..Was a cluster frig... Made a couple trees, but didn't do any good

PS I SUPPORT UKC, PKC, AKC, and all other dog registries and FEEL THAT WE SHOULD ALL WORK TOGETHER WITH A UNITED FRONT. Not sure what the policy about talking about other registries hunts are, but I value UKC HUNT TITLES and enjoy discussing the hounds and hunts on UKC's message board....
