Yes that's Dog on far rights and yea he was kinda monkey faced and actually more on one side of his face than the other lol I guess he was semi monkey lol

Glad to see the post and you keep this thing going. That is Rick Jordan with that dark dog on the bench, you will have to ask Rick the name of the dog. Here is a picture of a super nice Bluetick man. Should not be a big problem since his first name is on his shirt.

C.W. Thanks for this thread. It has given me lots of smiles to start my day the past few weeks. That picture is for sure me and the
dog is Royal Oaks Blue Blaze. He was out of Castleberry's
Rebel II and an Arkie x Vaughn female. He won King of Show
at BBOA Bluetick Days in Clanton, AL in 1990.

The two pictures of Luke and Bruizer seem to resemble each other a lot in their confirmation ... Awesome looking hounds... I always thought Luke was beautiful hound .. Good pictures

When I moved to Texas in 1980 this family and their Blue dogs were legends in the South West. Heck they still are.

Stan Johnston from East Tennesee. He had Big Ridge Bluetick Kennel. Even had the road leading to his house named Bluetick Lane. Stan was a veteran of Vietnam, carpenter by trade, hard hunter and a real good man. He came down to hunt many times through his friend Fred Bright who was the Black n Tan Purina Rep. Stan passed away a few years ago.

Mr. John C Carter

Mr Carter has been written about and featured in the Bluebook. A painting of his dog has graced the cover of the blue book. I have articles he wrote in the 1950's and he is a charter member of BBCHA. He and Robert Graves worked on the development of rules to night hunt by-the much modified version of these are what we use to compete with today. I think Mr Carter will be 95 this year. He hunts his Blue dog from his 4 wheeler.
