I honestly am guilty of chasing the whitetail more than the ringtail this year as well. Has'nt paid off either.. lol. After the 9 day tag and bag season I am going to get serious on coon..

THREAD HAS BEEN SLOW, EVERYONE KILL UM ALL???

My available time for hunting has been few and far between lately. Last night at 1:30 AM I had a window of time to get out. Despite the snow coming down and the gusty winds, I decided to give it a whirl. Unfortunately the snow flurries died down and I missed out on my favorite kind of pictures. Bentley pushed the first track 1400 yards to a junk pile, and then the next dump he went about 200 yards and figured out a ditch loaded with fallen trees. Ended up treed on a leaning dead elm into a huge Cottonwood with a double. Shot one, skinned it and was back in my driveway by 3.

Coon have been moving really good around here the last week also. Been having better results later in the night also. I think there will be some good running after this snow storm. Temps look pretty reasonable next week!
