S. Florida hasn't ever had one. Pythons, that would be different.

All anyone can do is strike them and tree them no matter where they hold it. I say keep it like it is. South one year and North the next. I would like to see it the last of October when its the South's turn.

But the ones who don't go have to have something to do. They aren't out hunting a dog every night to get him/her ready.

Black & Tan guys did your numbers increase this year?

I would have thought with your promotion this year that we might see more dogs.

With total numbers entering the zones being 189 fewer dogs, it became more question of "not dropping as much", more than gaining in numbers.

With that in mind, B&T's have 4 fewer entries in 2012. Thats a smaller drop than any other breed, except Leopards, who went from 0 dogs to 1 dog entered this year.

Put another way, B&T's increased from 9.4% of the entries in 2011 to 12.1% of the entries for 2012.

Last year was the first time we actually offered a payout for B&T's in the World Hunt and entries went UP last year signifigantly. This year we were down 4 entries overall from the increase of last year , while other breeds had a much steeper decline.

In other words , most of our increase came last year in the Incentive program's first year.

Overall , I believe the payout helped to keep our entries much higher than they otherwise would have been , and several B&T hunters have told me that is the sole reason they intend to travel to the World Hunt this year.
