Amaizing. I recently traded an old, soon to be worn out, best friend kind of coondog to a buddy, EVEN, for a twenty gallon copper HUh kettle. He hated to part with his "toy". He said they learned alot together, And the best part is he is going to come over and teach me how to cook with it. I know he'll take good care of my dog.

We got 3/4 inch of rain last night that came with a storm and knocked over a pecan tree in the front yard and knocked out the lights from midnight to 5AM. Thank goodness for all these coonhunting lights. I couldn't find any candles. Last weekend a flock of deer got in my pea patch and also ate the silks of my current crop of sweetcorn. No matter though, it had already pollenated. Any way, I tied out a pup out there Sunday night to do guard duty. Last night was Wednesday night and during the storm that pup had done got lazy and let the flock back in , in the middle of that storn. I could tell by the tracks . If it was before the rain the tracks would have got washed out, if it was after the rain they would have looked brandfresh, but they had rain marks in them. Those deer a sharp though, I got to give them credit, they have done conviced the Florida Trophy Buck hunters that come up here if a deer can hear are dog bark, anywhere, it will interupt the deers normal cycle. Maybe it is the Biologist that sucker these Troghy Buckers to come here for their "wilderness " experience to shoot our Tame Deer that are yet smarter. Whatever , It makes the Flordah boys look DUMB.

Beats me, I am North of I-16. Once you get a 150 miles south of I-16 you are back in Yankee Land. So I reckon it does because I did not know till awhile ago that it flowed Ya'lls far north.

At one time before my time there was a bunch of stills in our neck of the woods. One on our farm and another less than a mile from me. Everybody back then were mighty thirsty!!-----Off to work later.

I tell you what, if these local clubs had more going on like tree contests and water races I would love to go. Even more youth stuff just for fun. My step sonwould enjoy, and benifit, being around more youngster that enjoy coon hunting.
